I've been working on this game for quite some time and feel it is pretty strong.
Georgia Southern +10 over Washington state.
Too say that Georgia Southern played badly in the Top of the world tournament in Alaska is an understatement. If you look closer you can find reasons for it. Utah st beat them by 10 which isn't that bad in itself they shot 42% from the floor but only 58% from the ft line. Chalk it up to first game jitters and being so far from home. Then they kept Alaska Fairbanks close all night and won by 3,but this was a game where the coach decided to let everyone get some pt as 11 guys had double digit minutes. The alarming game is Portland where they lost by 14!! Turns out the game times were switched and they had to play at 11 am instead of 730pm and the team had a bad taste in their mouth about that from tip off. They shot terribly and turned the ball over 20 times.
I think tonight you will see a very enthused effort out of Georgia Southern that can see the finish line of their longest and by far their furthest road trip up the year. They have better talent than wash st especially at the guard position. They are deeper also. My preseason power numbers are 50 to 33 on a neutral ct. I'll give wsu 5 for being home. That means georgia southern should be 6 better. I'm calling for an outright win here but +10
with the much better guards is especially nice.
I think the linesmakers are really rewarding us here for the Alaska tourney. I will be thanking them when I get to Vegas tomorrow.
