Help with Digital Photo Recovery

Digital Photo Recovery

I need help. I took some really nice family pictures over the Thanksgiving break with a Canon digital camera. Before I could download the photos to my computer, I deleted them (using the camera?s delete function). How can I recover these photos.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CryBoy....sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but i think once you delete them from your camera, you're offically screwed

you would have to take and plug your camera or media card into the computer and run some type of disk recovery software and it can recover it probably as long as you haven't taken too many pictures since then

OMG.....i will be so SAD if i find out in this thread that it is possible to recover things deleted from a digital camera chip/card

lost MANY photos i want back when photopoint.com folded.

Been searching online... downloaded several free programs that claim they can retrieve deleted digital photos from a compact flash. Unfortunately, none of the programs can recognize the camera itself as a drive. They can recognize the A-drive, C-drive, CD-Rom, etc. but I can't get them to list my camera as a choice to read the lost photos from. :cursin:

BahamaMama, I am sorry to tell you that I did it. Went to Fry's and bought a compact flash card reader for 6 bucks. Downloaded a free file recovery program from the internet. It read and recovered over 300 photos that I deleted with the digital camera. Whew! :clap:
