Im moving down to the fort myers area in the second week of Janruary because of a career change (I'm working with my cousins Mortgage Brokerarge business down there) I was wondering if anybody knew much about specific areas to live, restaurants, bars, where to meet chicks
In addition, if anybody can get me in contact with any realtors anywhere in florida, or really most states for that matter( I can deal with most states) whom I can talk to and try to establish a good business relationship with while I get started, It would be appreciated, I'd love to meet anyone down there (TJ I know you're in palm harbor but I'd drive up and meet you for a brew  ) or anybody else in the area, or who can offer some advice or suggestions about anythng, Im a young guy who's lived in NY my whole life so this is going to be an exciting change I hope, and finally some nice weather, Thanks guys

Mike

I live in Fort Myers and could probably steer you in the right direction on those things(other than the realtor hook-up). If you want to, get my email from Jack.

I've been here almost 6 years after living in Fort Lauderdale for 5. For the most part I like this coast much better, although Fort Lauderdale was a lot of fun.

yeh right before the 40 ft of snow season.

I lived in Vermont a long time, so I know all about snow and

yea scott I posted that a long time ago, but things changed, my handicapping got worse, and theres no security in gambling plus it's too tough on my head and stressful and not that enjoyable. NY, I will always be a Ny'er, I feel the people are the most passionate about sports, pretty knowledgable business wise and street smart wise, but Ive lived here for my whole life, it's just too expensive and cold now and I need a change, worm I went to school for a little up in Buffalo before I left, have lived in Long Island my whole life though. hey scott, I know you do metal and gating in atlanta and Im sure you deal with a lot of realtors, I'd like to get a business relationship with ya as I need to get in with some realtors and I dont know many people in the southern region but anyway, thanks for the comments guys I need any help or knowledge I can get, and Kosar, I got your email I will write you when I have a spare moment, thanks

I work with alot more builders than realators. But I do know quite a few agents also.

Can't imagine living in Long Island NY. Its a great place dont get me wrong, but its just too cold and dismal at times. Ft Myers is light years from that. Maybe kosar can set you up in business, he has alot of time on his side and I think he said his family lives next door to Mel Gibson in Beverly Hills.
Or maybe that was Scott4USC. I get confused sometimes.

To be honest Mike I dont think you really know what you want to do with your life. No one does at 25.

PS glad you stopped thinking about gambling for a living. That saved you alot of strife and hardship.

Sportsfan--did you graduate from college? If not go back and finish then do what you want later--it may be hard but in the long run it will be the best thing for you...IMO

worm no I didnt graduate, school just wasnt for me, I got tired of it after a while and I felt my ability could best work for me at a job and Ive done ok so far and have always been interested in real estate and happened to know someone down there so I think it's time for the move, I just wasnt cut out for school, I never applied myself enough only in economics and finance I was too busy drinking and screwing around, but anyway, I know you have a business upstate im sure you're doing well, I may go back at some point if I have to because I'm not doing well, but I'd rather not.......scott, I will get your email at a later date, if thats ok with you, Im curious to learn a little more about the business, I have to find out if the company I'll be at is a licensed lender in georgia but I'm sure they are, thanks for the help all

Mike

once you move and settle in.. just put a "for sale" sign up out front.. (even if renting) ;) and you will meet all the realtors within 10 square miles..;)
