I heard he loses on the Final Jeopardy question.

He missed it and "Nancy" or someone gets it right. The question has something to do with "what company uses 70,000 workers for 4 months of the year.....It's not FedEx!

Sketchy info, in know, but thats about all I heard.

This is how it goes down . . .

This is how it goes down . . .

Business and Industry proved Jennings's undoing:

Alex Trebek: "The category is Business and Industry and here is the clue, ladies and gentlemen: Most of this firm's 70,000 seasonal white-collar employees work only four months a year. You have 30 seconds. Good luck."

("Jeopardy!" muzak is heard:)

"Nancy, you wrote down your response rather quickly, I thought. I hope it's correct," Trebek told someone apparently named Nancy, who appears to be Jennings's only opponent by the Final Jeopardy round, meaning his other competitor already had flamed out in red ink.

"What is H&R Block," Nancy had written. She got it right. Nancy had wagered $4,401. She now had $14,401, giving her a $1 lead over Jennings, who went into the Final Jeopardy round with a puny $14,400

Back to Trebek:

Trebek: "And his final response is . . . "

(Much gasping and groaning appeared to come from the audience.)

"FedEx," Trebek read. "His wager was $5,601; he winds up in second place with $8,799."

Final Jeopardy just concluded on TV here... Nancy looked like she was going to faint when Trebek read "Fed Ex".

He had to have been paid off to miss that question. The guy knows the chemical composition of moon rocks for petes sake and he misses a question most high school contestants would know.

I dont buy the validity of that showdown.
