La Tech+3 (Joede's special)

Toledo+2
Rockets looked like world beaters in the 2nd half of the BGSU game and I think that will carry over in this tilt. Miami beat them earlier in the year but I still think Toledo is the best team in the MAC. Like backing a experienced gutsy SR QB in a game of this magnitude and also think the turf favors the speed of the Rockets.

Army and Navy over 56
I may scratch this game if weather becomes a factor but we know going in that Army will struggle to stop the bone and Navy should ring the bell frequently. Army also has a above average offense that has put up points nearly all year.

Mich State-6.5
I don't think John Smith will let the Spartans take it easy for this game and I cant see the Bows matching the physical play of the Spartans. Look for the Spartans to come out strong to erase that bad taste they got in the loss to PSU.

Auburn-12.5
I dont see how this game will be anything different from the first time that these two teams met. Auburn is the best all around team in the country with extreme balance on both sides of the ball and the defense is absolutely killer similiar to LSU last year with the speed. Vols come into this game with a glaring weakness at QB which Auburn should exploit, I do not look for this line to stay where it is at and it should rise to around 15 by gametime/

Oklahoma under 56
I cant see the Buffs moving the ball consistently on Okie thus I feel they will contribute very little to the total in this one

Cal over 53.5
Check the weather in this one but we know that Cal will score and SMiss will have to abandon their run game and try to play catch up in this one.

Tulane+28
IMO Lousiville is a top five team that could give Aub, Okie or USC a game on a neutral field. I think this game will be more like the game was suppose to be with Cinci before Geno got hurt. Tulane has been one of the top Conf USA teams in the 2nd half of the year and the offense seems to be clicking

Waiting to decide on:
Va Tech-Mia, two solid defenses and no matter which way I go with Tech I usually lose. I like them in this game with the DR leadership at QB but going to hold off and think about this play.

USC-UCLA
A ton of points in a backyard game so I lean UCLA but their defense is a typical Pac 10 defense soft in the interior line so that scares me that USC will just line up and manhandle them in the trenches.

Pitt-South Slorida
You would think that Pitt should win this game going away especially after watching Memphis destroy S. Fla but is not South Florida a beast at home?

Fla Int-Fla Atlantic
Know very little about either team will have to educate myself on each team.

Who would have thought that the over in the Army game would ever be that high(compared to years past)..I like that and I also love the over in the UCLA/USC game..

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) _ Arizona State quarterback Andrew Walter will miss the team's bowl game after separating his right shoulder in the 18th-ranked Sun Devils' 34-27 upset loss at Arizona on Friday.

That means the senior's record-breaking college career is over, leaving him No. 5 on the Pac-10 career list for yards passing. Walter broke John Elway's Pac-10 record for career touchdown with 85. Elway had 77 at Stanford.

Walter was hurt in the fourth quarter Friday when his shoulder was slammed to the ground on a tackle. Tests Saturday revealed a third-degree shoulder separation, ruling him out for any bowl game.

Arizona State (8-3, 5-3 Pac-10) probably is headed for the Holiday Bowl, with sophomore Sam Keller taking over for Walter. Arizona State is expected to get the Holiday Bowl bid if No. 1 Southern California plays for the national championship in the Orange Bowl and California goes to the Rose Bowl.

Walter was among the nation's leaders in touchdown passes this season with a school-record 30. He threw for 320 yards Friday to finish with 3,150 _ the third consecutive season he has topped the 3,000-yard mark. His career total is 10,617 yards.

Walter also set school records for career touchdown passes, career completions (777), single-season yards passing (3,877 in 2002), single-game yards passing (538 against Oregon in 2002).

Today's top story ... Tennessee QB situation
Head coach Phillip Fulmer stated that even if true freshman Brent Schaeffer could return to action by this weekend, junior Rick Clausen would be the starting QB for the SEC Championship game versus Auburn; Schaeffer, who broke his collarbone during the Oct. 30 game against South Carolina, has been throwing on the side, but has yet to be medically cleared for contact

ACC

Virginia
The Cavaliers have announced that the team would bypass any bowl games that conflict with final exams; This decision has created a lot of unanswered bowl berths, which may not be determined until after the Virginia Tech/Miami game this upcoming weekend

Big East

Pittsburgh
Even if the Panthers would lose to USF this Saturday, it appears that the University has already wrapped up the automatic BCS bid, which is given to the Big East champ; Jerry Palm of CollegeBCS.com suggests that Syracuse’s deficit (in the BCS rankings) is too large to overcome

Pac-10

Arizona State
Senior QB Andrew Walter will be unable to play in the Sun Devils’ bowl game due to a shoulder separation suffered in Friday’s loss to arch rival Arizona; Sophomore QB Sam Keller is expected to make his first collegiate start in ASU’s bowl game

Stanford
On Sunday night, ESPN.com reported that sources close to the Cardinal program indicate that head coach Buddy Teevens will be relieved of his duties, and an announcement is expected as early as today

Leaning towards Tulane also as Louisville has clinced their bowl game. They have nothing to play for and just played against their biggest rival. See a letdown situation.

Michigan State biggest advantage 2 weeks to prepare and to get healthy. Seriously wouldn't be surprised to see the Spartans score at least 55 points in that game. As this team is far better than the Northwestern team that played Hawaii last week. I think the Rainbows victory gives us some value here.

Actually looking at a possible play with South Florida as Pittsburgh does not run the ball as well as Memphis. That Big East is awfully weak and I think South Florida gives them a game. Conference USA might actually be equal to the Big East.

Other leans Oklahoma, Toledo, and Auburn.

Just took my La tech killing (with the help of my bud Joede) and doubled up on AUburn at 13. I would be surprised if this line does not hit 14.5 by gametime. I also played MSU quite large this week even though I hate playing island games but I cant see this team not going all out for a solid coach like Smith.

I was just wondering if anyone thinks the Louisville and Tulane game could see a total of 85-90 points?

Something is up! I show Pitts by 11...line dropped to 7 from 8'

I have a lean to Pitt in that one -- they have a ton to play for at this point with a potential BCS bid on the line (going to come down to a tiebreaker and whoever is ranked higher will get the spot). BUT...Pitt has been poor on the road outside of the ND game (where the defense did give up 38 but their QB was lights out)

Agree with you that I have the line at double digits, but this is one of the times that I'm uneasy about the line disparity. Need to research this a bit more.

i like so. fla.

so. fla. is a rushing dog.

pitt. is basically one dimensional.

5 of pitt. 7 wins were by 5 or less.

they have won no games on the road by more than 3 points.

it doesn't mean that because a team needs to win to get to a bowl will win......ie....

iowa st. needed to win last week to play for the big 12 championship....but lost.

boston college needed to win to get a bcs bowl.....but lost.

tcu & arkansas needed wins to get bowl eligible....but lost.

good luck.

Off the top of my head I don't believe that Pitt has blown anyone out all year, all their games seem to be decided by a small margin. Don't be fooled by S. Fla's showing against Memphis as they got behind early and had to abandon their power running game. South Florida has been a bear at home, I think it's a good game to stay off or play the dog.

Southern California

Great info!
Definately with you on the Toledo and Tulane picks. Navy will win by at least 3 touchdowns!
Not sold on the Auburn, I'm leaning towards it, but probably won't pull the trigger...just sit back and watch.
Thanks again for the info.

Im thinking about buying back my Toledo bet as too many people are now on them, I can't believe the amount offolks on the Rockets tonight. Usually when one side becomes overloaded the other side seems to win the game that is at least what has happened to me in the past.
