Being a tenn. guy you might think i would have a good opinion of tenn. I usually stay away from them. However, I can't hardly resist betting on Auburn. Spread now at -13. Thinking about unloading. What do you guys think? Especially interested in what SEC geru has to say. How bout you volfan? I believe the line will go up, i'm gonna bet it tonight. Auburn won the first meeting at Tenn. 34-10, could have been worse. The tenn. defense has been horrible the last 2 weeks also. Schaffer will probably play some qb but he is a runner, i think auburn to fast to let him get loose on many plays.

Tout i'm UT alumni and i can't back Tennesse is this game.
Looks like a ripper...could see a slaughter.

Chavas and Fulmer are great on strategy but you have to have talent to come to this fight and we're short this year.

I understand! Hard to go against a homey.

Glad you were on Tech and made a few dollars.

this tn has no defense.imo what plan will they come up with this week ? they gave up 30 to vandy & ky. i haven't unloaded on this yet as i am concerned with the back door cover - much like the bs td by bama 2 wks ago. however, i do not see au coming out flat in this one. we will see, but i do not see how tn can come into this one with any confidence. again, jmo.

taoist i didn't know you were from Smithville. We were suppose to play them tonight in high school basketball. Anyway, I agree tenn. usually plays their best as a big dog. However, this version of the tenn. team has been overrated all year. I'm a big orange fan through and through, just trying to be a realist. Elvis I don't believe Auburn comes out flat. If they win they could play for the national championship and about an 8 million dollar game. If they lose they'll play in a 1.5-2 million dollar bowl game. I think these are enough incentives to not come out flat for the players and coaches. I made the play minus 13 will see what happens but some sharpies have said the line will be or should be around 17.

Tubs hasn't ran up a score all year on anyone. He says he won't do it against UT this weekend, but I think he knows it is in his best interest to score as much as possible while keeping his team healthy. As previously stated, UT gave up 30+ pts to Vandy and Kentucky, the SEC doormats. Auburn has the best scoring defense in the country, less than 10 pts a game. Rick Clausen WILL NOT, I REPEAT, WILL NOT SCORE ON THE AUBURN D. And even if Schaffer plays, we say how much of a factor his "scrambling ability" was when they first played the tigers. The Auburn D is to fast.

That's my biased and somewhat unbiased opinion'

Tubbs stated that the first game was a 2 quarter game and we won 34-10...........This is going to be a 4 quarter affair. I think that is code for " We plan on kicking the ass off of the VOLS "

Guru I usually agree with you, but not this time. Tub takes no prisoners in this game as he tries to get his team into BCS championship this is my play of the century. Thinking about backing the truck up on this one.

I just heard on a local radio station that in Tenn's last 43 losses, they have never covered the spread.

Can anybody confirm this?

SportsLine.com wire reports

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee quarterback Brent Schaeffer is still recovering from a broken collarbone and will not travel with the No. 15 Volunteers to the Southeastern Conference championship.

Junior Rick Clausen, who started the last two games, will start Saturday against Auburn in Atlanta.

ALSO list Ainge as OUT for the game.

One of my biggest plays this year was Aub -2 against Tenn. in Knoxville. This one will be an even bigger play for me. Here's why:

1. Tennessee is NOT a good football team.

2. This Auburn team feels like they are getting no respect from the BCS and from Tenn (see Kevin Burnett).

3. UT defense cannot stop anyone, much less Ronnie Brown and Carnell Williams, who by the way, love to beat UT because they both were once committed to go there and then opted for AU.

4. Fulmer's teams play terrible in the Georgia dome.

5. Jason Campbell

I would take AU up to -17...This one will not be close.

BIG ORANGE LAND!!
'"Tennessee is NOT a good football team"

Na, bad teams win 9-10 games every year..Come on??
Sure Auburn is better that Tn but that statement is ludicris.
Tn is good, just not one of the elite this year.
How many games has Auburn won the last 10 years?
about 80?
Tn has won 100+ and Phat Phil has won 80% of his games...
