akron zips over 143.5

just think theres still some value in this number after duquesne's frigid 2nd half the other night vs. akron. if dukes dont come out for the 2nd half with blindfolds on, that game ends up near 160, because the pace was frenetic. very rare to see a 44-40 game at the half barely crack 140 for the game (77-65 final - dukes just 21 2h pts). it looks like dambrot's style is to have the zips playing even more uptempo than expected. akron showing some very encouraging signs early in a lot or areas, but in two road games, the opposition is shooting 47% from the floor (although zips counter that with 50% from the floor themselves, including 38/97 -- 40% from 3pt land). bottom line: lots of shots getting hoisted in akron games with dambrot now at the helm. northern illinois is nothin to write home about, but neither were drake and duquesne and they went up and down the floor with akron.

Agree in theory, got some of this small at 139 thursday in the "reduced limit" early lines at Pinnacle. I'm just a a little worried that N' Ill may try to take some air out of the ball to frustrate Akrons young backcourt. I also think the huskies, if smart, will extend their defense further toward the perimeter.

If Akron dictates tempo, you have a great shot to cash this one.

yeah didnt get this one done. 3-1 on the totals this year, but this one was pretty much a clunker. akron let niu really dictate the tempo which i didnt think would happen. sorry boys
