the #1 team in the country won't be playing for the national championship. Sorry folks but Auburn would beat USC and Oklahoma on any given day. . . I know the USC and OU fans would disagree but what a horrible system to leave the Tigers out. Would have been nice if UCLA was able to upset the Trojans but a lucky call on the fumble took take of that one :cursin:

Sorry Jack, maybe off topic but I was very much looking forward to taking Auburn as a dog against OU or USC for some easy money in the national championship game. . . guess I'll have to go with USC over OU and lay the few points that it should be.

I don't see how anybody can give an argument as to why AU should be ranked ahead of USC or OU. I still have not seen one. I have read people saying AU should be ranked #1 or they are the best team, but NOBODY can give an argument as to WHY! I would love to here WHY AU should be #1 and NOT USC or OU. You can't make a good case for AU. Nothing to work with.

It is unfortunate AU went 12-0 and not get to play in the BCS NC game but USC and OU have a much better resume and they deserve to be in the BCS NC game. BCS gets it right with #1 and #2.

AU vs Tenn. tonight sure hurts the AU case. The same TN team who struggled against VANDY and Kentucky and LOST to ND @TN.

Auburn is the most complete team of the three. . . their offense is extremely effective and their defense is very balanced. Between USC and OU, I'd say only USC has nearly the same balance. . . OU's defense is weak IMO and would cost them against Auburn or USC since both of those teams are much more balanced. All three teams have a tremendous ground game which is essential on any national championship team. So which team has the best opportunity to stop the other two effectively? I believe Auburn wtih USC closely #2. OU would be a distant #3.

Auburn didn't start as high in the polls as USC and OU so that is what will burn them tomorrow.

I think you have a great chance to win your USC futures against OU. . . like I said, I don't believe they will stop USC on the ground and that should be the telling tale.

USC and OU played inferior competition tonight while Auburn played a legit foe. You can't tell me OU impressed you against Colorado because USC and Auburn would have also impressed you just the same.

I am unbiased....I was touting Auburn #1 all year and for that matter Georgia #1 and Auburn #2 for a while when OU's defense was weak without Perkins and the true frosh who lost his redshirt and proceeded to SHUT DOWN A&M the 2nd half

No OU fan can be confident how OU defense will perform against USC in the Orange Bowl. USC has a much more explosive and balanced offense than A&M and OSU. On the flip side, I think the OU defense is MUCH better than than the defense that played against those 2 teams. (injuries etc and there were mental mistakes that lead to those 2 teams scoring NOT just the OU defense).

So you have an OU defense that has looked AWESOME in their last few games but they have played $hit teams with BAD offenses with NO TALENT! I think everyone can agree on that to a certain degree.

USC vs OU is going to be the best BCS NC game because of so many unknowns and all the talent on both teams. I don't know how anyone can really handicap this championship game. If I had to choose now, I would take OU and the pts or ML.

That all said, USC and OU would beat AU. AU has not been tested all year on a "consistent" basis. They do not deserve to be ranked ahead of OU or USC and the BCS got it right.

Neb has a good defense this year and historically they are better at home...Col offense looked good against them

Col offense looked good at Kyle field earlier this year too

They also looked okay against KState this year

They had injury problems and were as healthy as they have been this year tongiht

And OU put the wood to them and turned in the defensive performance of the year allowing 1 offense first down outside of a penalty...

meanwhile USC and Auburn give up 20+ points to mediocre teams not a whole lot different than Colorado and you turn a blind eye to what you saw tonight

OU RB's do NOT put UCLA's RB's to shame. Sorry. Your opinion is off base on that one. Drew is a stud at UCLA just like Peterson.

OU's QB does put UCLA's QB to shame and that is why OU has a more explosive offense. Plus OU has an awesome OL. I do not think OU is much more talented on offense than UCLA. Sorry.

Drew is every bit as good as Peterson. Your not giving you OL enough credit. OU OL should get the heisman IMO. They make Peterson look awesome along with White getting all day to throw. Don't get me wrong, AD is a stud and White is a great QB. They just have a lot of help while others are not as fortunate. That is why OU is better on offense than UCLA. QB advantage and OL advantage.
