A real question for Scott...........

Not sure if I am going to be able to get Rose Bowl tickets through UT. How easya re they to get at the game, or what should I pay now like on ebay, or of course can you get them!?!

When we went in 2003 there were plenty of tickets available outside the stadium. The stadium holds 100,000. OU brought 35,000 and there were still plenty of tickets. For some reason when it isn't the traditional matchup, people aren't that excited. Unless Michigan goes crazy trying to get tickets, you will be able to get them at the game.

weeeeeeeeell, i guess i need a little clarity, ill be calling the University in the AM, but not be placing them like the public, will be making a call to the #2 highest donating alum who has assured me tickets, so hopefully he can get good seats........if i were a betting man, id say they will be 50 yd line, but ill have to wait and see.......

lo, will see what i can do. I went to work for him right out of college, then went elsewhere a few years later but have kept in touch, its amazing how much he gives annually, i could buy an Enzo with his yearly donations........

Congrats on your team making it to the Rose Bowl. Obviously I do not think they deserve it over CAL and thought Brown was classless lobbying for his team.

Tickets should NOT be hard to get. Last years Rose Bowl tix were $150 each (face value). Obviously last years game was sold out, but this year you do not have any team from CA playing AND no Pac 10/Big 10 traditional matchup. Not a lot of excitement.

Tickets should NOT be hard to find. If I see an opportunity to buy tickets I'll get your e-mail from madjack and let you know but I doubt I will. I just found out today I won the ticket lottery so I get 2 tix to the Orange Bowl. I had already booked my flight and hotel over the summer. Leave 3rd and come back the 6th.

You should obviously stay in Pasadena. Nice city and Rose Bowl is right there.

Sorry I could not be more of a help. Good luck to your team against Michigan. I found out the hard way Michigan is somewhat over-rated.

I've been to the RB for USC-Northwestern, USC-Michigan and Nebraska-Miami. You won't have problems scalping, always plenty of tics last minute outside the gates. The scalpers make their money in the weeks leading up to the game as people panic and buy, then unload the rest of the tickets at the game for whatever they can get. In '95 I got stuck with two extra tickets and had to scalp right before gametime. They were two on the 40 (face value $100+) for the USC - Northwestern game and got $5 for them - and I had to beg the guy for $5 cause someone else was offering less.

Just have faith, bring a map of the stadium seating and keep your eyes open and you will save some serious dough buying them minutes before gametime.

It was 2 lines. 1 line congratulating his team (Texas) for going to the Rose Bowl. 2nd line was me letting him know that I personally did not think Texas deserved it and Mack Brown was classless for lobbying for his team. I do not see how 2 lines would be a problem. Not like I spent a paragraph on the subject. Instead, I spent a paragraph answering his question he made to me. Unfortunately I was not much of a help unless I come across someone selling Rose Bowl Tix.

I've seen them going for about $200 some even less.
Not a whole lot of hype here for the game
You shouldm't have any problems getting tix

Also try to get on the shaded side if its a day game
anything in sections 6 thru 2 are pretty damn good .
