Wow.Loy Md not only covers but beats Niagara.I told you guys they were good. And I still took Niagara.
Rider upsets Iona.Again another loss but who knows about them. They need to fire Ruland.Rider is siting in 1st place in the MAAC.

Marist -1.5 over St Peters **
Small play.Peter has Clark and Watkins avg 24 and 20 pts a game.Hinnent avg 11.But there all gds. There front line w/o Sowers and Yates is hurting.Bozivis there only big body and he's so slow.Anyone named Ivan playing in the MAAC has a fault.Peter ranks 1st in offemse,2nd in FG%, and 2nd in turnover margin. But there last in FT's,and last in 3 pt shooting. And thats with clark who led the nation in scoring lyr. They have made 28-92 for a 30% avg. There rebounding is bad and they have never been a good defensive team.
Marist with new coach brady is shooting 3's from everywhere. There 2nd in FT's,1st in 3 pt,have the top 3 pt shooter and rebounder in the MAAC in mcClurkin and Whittington.Johnson is a solid pt gd.Stilphen the red shirt lyr has elevated his game.Whittington is hitting 3's at home from the Husdon River which borders the campus.
But at home they can't miss the 3.They are 28-43.
I'll take my red Foxes who can shoot FT's and 3's vs Peters gds,no frontline and cannot shoot Ft's..

Iowa St -1.5 over Vir *** best bet

ISU is always a good home ats team.Lyr they beatGeo,Texas,Kansas,Mizzou, and XU.They were 12-3 ats at home.Blalock,Homan,Stinson and co will give Vir problems.Vir with Brown inside is tough.Balanced scoring and Singleterry will give Peter G a lot of wins this yr.But Homan inside who lyr vs Vir had 19 pts and 10 bds will be tough to stop.
ISU wins this at home and covers

Lost Auburn game also.Woffard spanked them Manhattan hung in and covered vs NC St.Game was closer then score shows.Jaspers really played tough.RJ had big game with 18 pts and 15 bds.

Penn st +10.5 over Georgetown *
Lions beat Rutgers.Think they can hang around the number.

Box, when brady was the asst coach @ st joe's he was credited w/ developing the shooting component of the team, esp the guards who tore up the competition all last year...he's a siena grad (and played under mike deane, i think) & applied for the hc siena job 3 times but was passed over for orr, then hewitt, then lanier...i'm sure he's looking forward to their 1st matchup...gl, caper

Was at the UT campus today. My daughter took off from school, returned her graduate course books at the UT bookstore. Well on the tables when you walk in are all brand new "Texas Rose Bowl t-shirts".I guess they made them last nite.NBC's KVUE was filming amd talking to the bookstore manager. They asked me if I would go over to the table and pick up a Orange-UT-Rose Bowl shirt".The reporter wanted to talk to me.So what does the Box do.I said "the only Bowl game I'll talk about is the New Orleans Bowl. North Texas plays So Miss".The blonde reporter said "what".I politley said" I'm visiting here from NY.Ask a UT student to pose."And my daughter was no where to be found.
But I'm sure you will see me in the backround. So any Austin people out there.Watch KVUE tonite. You'll see me in the backround.Wearing a green coaches polo shirt. But I refused to comment...To much pride in my Mean Green..and tomr nite will be courtside at UT-NT hoops game.

Caper..You know Deane had 3 of my kids when he was at Delhi. One crazy coach. His mouth got him fired from Marquette. Was asst at Mich St,Siena of course, now at Wagner. Throw in Lamar also.Lyr the whole Wagner team revolted .Brady did play under him and your right about his shooting.A good friend of mine said they do big time shooting drills in practice.I just thought it would take a year or two.Whittington sat all lyr.I thought losing Ellerbee would be a big loss.He would of covered Clark tonite. You can't sit in a zone vs st Peter. You can mix it up though. But Brady really showboats on campus.Magarity was the quiet type that always had a lot of class.Brady is young and firey.

Marist wins by 4.Whittington hits 6-11 from the 3.Talk about someone on fire at home.McClurkin has 20 pts and 14 bds.
And the top 3 scorers for Petes are Hinnent,Clark and Watson with 21,18 and 12.All gds.
Peter will have problems all yr with no frontline.

Box...congrats...great call on both had to make the call on St. Pete's "early" yesterday, but will keep in mind you're thread for the season. And like you I think LoyMd will be vastly improved over what we've seen the past few years.
