Much like last year will just have one bowl thread because I find it much easier to manage.

Final regular season YTD: 45-32 +10.59 units

Not my best season ever but profits are profits.

First bowl play, which I like a lot:

UVA (2x) -5........basically I don't see a team on the Fresno State schedule that can compare defensively to Virginia, or for that matter be mentioned in the same breath as the Cavaliers. Both teams have had successful bowl trips over the past two years, which I usually do factor in, but it's a wash here. Just going by what I've seen, and the quality of losses for each school. Sure UVA was outclassed three times this year, but this was against bona fide top 15 teams each time, while Fresno has a noticable blinb on the screen (LA Tech). I'd be foolish to think that UVA will completely shut down the Bulldogs, but I think the team speed they will bring on defense is something Fresno is not used to seeing. These mid level ACC teams tend to be solid in the bowls and UVA is reliable in this role.

Last Year A.C.C.'s Georgia Tech smashed Tulsa 52-10 as a 7 point favorite.

Good Luck

Yeah, I just think these ACC teams are more battle tested and it pays off in the bowl games. We will see.

I agree that ACC is a much better confrence but Fresno is a tricky team....Still I think you are right on, UVA has too much talant. Pinagar has not been the QB he needed to be this year and will struggle against this Cav's defense.

Purdue -7 (2x)....two major blows to Arizona State, with Walter out and the loss of their defensive coordinator. When ASU has played a team with better talent they've gotten stomped. Purdue ended the season well and will be able to score vs the Sun Devils. Can Arizona State score with Sam Keller at QB? I'd be suprised if they do much.

Blackman, I like the va play also. Reminds me of last night's game a little with virginia having played a tougher schedule and having a good 'D' etc. Also, have played purdue already and I agree that with walter out, the offense of the sun devils may struggle to put up enough points in this one. Just hoping that purdue come out ready to play. GL with all your bowl game picks!

Likely with ya on Purdue Blackman. Keller is talented, but will take the senior QB over a very inexperienced QB every time. Especially when that Senior QB is playing for first round $$$$$.

Thinking this may be the Big Ten's only bowl win.

Exactly what I was thinking CWood...Orton is playing this game for his future $$ (bankroll as we gamblers say lol)...The one angle that bothers me is ASU having the 3rd strongest SOS but we all know that the SOS BS isnt going to win every time...I think Purdue teased down to -1 has GREAT value because I could see ASU pulling within a TD of Purdue's D...Thanks for the write up Blackman

I did a write-up on UVA a week or 2 ago and touched on many of the same themes - its probably buried on the 2nd or 3rd page. UVA will probably be my largest play of the bowl season.
GL 2 us.

Not a bad thought Vyrus, I like Purdue to win this one for sure.

Maybe a 6 point teaser Auburn and Purdue? Lot of possibilities this bowl season.

Big Slick -- I'll dig for that thread, I had to go to page 4 to find mine when I added the Purdue play. Lots of very good info buried back in those pages.

Blackman, don't play many teasers in college but the 6-pointer on purdue and auburn sounds full of value!

Yeah, I usually hate teasers but that one makes a lot of sense. Might give it a shot.

Trying to find a nice ML parlay but don't think I'll ever be able to top last year with that.

Agreed, Auburn and Purdue looks great...I just dont see ASU winning this, I could definatley have seen it with it being Walters last game and the draft etc (much like Orton), but this Keller kid is going to get eaten up by the best team from the Big 10 (IMO) for his first start (i believe)
