Dish network vs Direct Tv

Finally decided cable's got to go. Is there any appreciable difference btw Dish and Direct tv? Thanks for any info.

you don't get all the fox sports channels on dish 25 of them for 10 bucks on dtv. and more hdtv on dtv. i did not think you could get the game plans for hoops,fb or baseball on dish??? thought dtv had all those rights but the fox regional networks are great if you like sports. and i thought dtv owned the rights to those???

Fletch I believe dtv only has the rights to the nfl, b/c I know on the commericals for college football it says to contact your cable or sat provider. Hoops and baseball I don't know about though.

dish has nfl ticket, mlb extra innings, nba league pass, I forget what the hockey package is called.

If your big on watching a ton of sports, especially out of town games, directv is THE only way to go period end of discussion.

dish i think has more local channels as well. if you want sports, direct tv is the best out there. be careful though, their rates are about to ballon a bit to make up for the nfl package.
