Does anyone know how to get something appraised?

I have an item I bought at an estate sale a few years back and now I am cleaning out my basement and I went on ebay to price them and they were going between $500 - 2200 but I don't know how to go about finding out how much mine is worth?

Is there a certain book I can buy? The item is a dry sink. With beautifully painted roses on the front and a record player inside (the record player still works)

I would just compare it to the ones offered on ebay for an estimate of what it's worth.

If the sink is an antique you might want to get some advice on it from some antique dealers.
