From all early indications he is not going to play, but Fischer does this stuff all the time. Brown got no PT in practice this week, and is not expected to play. Its a meaningless game and you dont want to risk any long term injury to a player. The last time Brown was rested he came back worse off than before. IMO - this injury wont go away until the offseason when he gets some tangible rest (there's a reason this guy was a 3rd rounder)
If he does suit up, it wont be substantially different from having Smith in there, so it should not affect your handicapping. At least it doesnt affect mine. Jim said yesterday that he's out, but the official word wont come down from Jeff until an hour before kickoff. Id rather know if McNair is gonna try it. If they're both scratched and the public overreacts this line might hit 3. Thats a ton of onesidedness considering the opening number.
