Wake Forest -7 over Temple **
Wake got knocked from its no 1 rankings by getting spanked by Illi.Temple plays its zone defense which will nuetralize some of the wake attack.But Williams,Levy,Vytas,and Visser are all 6'9,6'9,6'9 and 6'11.I see them controlling the bds esp defensive bds.But Grey and Paul are 2 outstanding gds. Paul is lightning fast and he can attack the zone.Good pt gds beat zones.Grey can shoot the eyes out and there 3rd gd Downey was a pt gd a few yrs back.
I think temple has matchup problems with those 3.And I haven't even mentioned the frontcourt.
Wake troubles is on defense and shutting down people and closing them down.
But Temples offense has problems.Collins is there only consistent player.Tyndale is hot and cold and he's been pretty cold from the 3 hitting 10-46.Salisberry can score but is 14-40 from the 3.Marshall at 6'11 and Butler at 7'0 aren't as quick as the WF frontline.
Temple has no real pt gd.Collins,Tyndale Sal are all 6'5 gds.Thats great in a 2-3 defense but there going against all 6'2 gds in Paul and co.
This team is still missing Hawkins as the go to guy.Collins is becoming that but tonite I think the Owls are in trouble...
Miss St 12.5 over New orleans **
Roberts should dominate inside.Frazier,Harper and Ervin are quicker.Powers is a great shooter but hasn't gone off yet.Only 13-36 from the 3.Ervin at the pt needs to improve.But Roberts is the stud.
NO has one guy Bo McCalebb probaly the best player in the Sun Conf.Malloy is 6'10 avg 10 pts and 6 bds.But this team is loaded with small gds.Barnes,Elias,Bostic and "Bo" are all 6'0.6'1 and 6'2.Thats almost 80-85% of your offense.
Miss St has to much inside scoring and just enough from the outside.
Lyr Miss St won 77-59.NO is not a good defensive team.And Miss St was 9-1 on the rd lyr ats.This yr they are 2-5 ats overall.But I think they get a bunch of off. bds and Roberts gets his 25-30 pts.
