Washington (-5) over SF
Defense, Defense, Defense...Washington will have the SF offense rattled on almost every play. No quit in a Gibbs lead team and the offense started to come around a little after last week. Portis will find a lot of running room against this terrible defense and ramsey can find holes when the Safety is brought into the box. Questions about the coaching staff, quaterbacks, and running backs in SF. Barlow is pissed off that Hicks is the starter, Erickson told he was not going to be retained and the whole Ol Miss thing and Dorsey/ Rattay QB carousel. Don't like to spot 5 with the redskins but they should have a game similar to when the beat the giants. Shaun Springs is out but there is a slight chance LaVar might make it back in the line up. Think the defense of Washington makes it very hard for SF all day. A lot of the Washington running game, as always a ton of false starts for the skins and still IMO the skins have the better team!

Pitt (-10) over the Giants
A very aggressive defense against a very inexperienced QB. Eli has not had the chance to get comfortable in the giants scheme yet. The defenses he has seen have made it very hard and this week is no exception. Pitt lost some players to injury but still the over all blitzing defense should lead to turn overs. Pitt will be able to control the ball and use the ground game all day. NYG have suffered big time injuries on defense and they have a weak O & D line. Something Pitt should take advantage. Coughlin is a good coach but he believes in his system and will not make changes even when it need some adjustment. So again I think the giants go into this game and Pitt will study game film and have the answer for everything NY throws at them.

Indy (-7.5) over Ravens
If this was in balt, I would be all over the ravens but being in Indy I think the colts will roll over the Ravens. Carson Palmer showed that the Ravens secondary is talented but can be beaten. Who better to beat them than the skill positions in Indy? The Ravens will not be able to play the aggressive style they love and that is what will hurt them. The LB's of Balt will have to stay true to coverage because of the talent at TE and in stokley. This means the draw delay will be big! Also Payton has the ability to read the coverage of the defense so well that he should be able to predict when the blitz will come. Especially because the Ravens like to use the safety. Still think the Colts have the weapons to move it all over the ravens. The crowd will be in full force with Manning record bound!

Should have a few more before kick

I like'em all, actually.

Indy and the Over are going to be my biggest plays this week.

I've heard that I'm making a mistake b/c the Jags came up to Indy and held the Colts in check, winning out-right. While this is true and the Ravens D is better than the Jags, the reason the Jags were so successful was b/c of the pressure up the middle that Hendereson and Stroud brought. This disrupted Peyton's time's and throwing lanes.

The Ravens interior line cannot compare to the Jags and will not be able to disrupt Peyton on a consistent basis. With time, the Colt passing game will be able to move the ball at will, even against the vaunted Ravens 2ndary.

On the flip side, if the Colts can muster the manpower to stop the predictable Ravens running game on 1st and 2nd downs, Freeney should be able to smack Boller to the ground on 3rd & long.

Wash -5 vs SF? Two very s****y teams playing for NOTHING! It takes "hueavos" to bet this game.

For your own sanity, try not to watch this fiasco...just look for the results later.

I agree with your play, but I don't have the "intestinal fortitude" to play it, watch it, or cap it . Good Luck

Panthers (+3) over Falcons
Hate going against the falcons in Atlanta they play very well there but IMO the panthers are playing some inspired football fright now and should ba able to win this game. Atlanta has Vick and Dunn to run the ball because Duckett is out. That means less power and more speed to the outside runs. Fast DE should be able to get involved and shut down some of those running lanes. Looking for a big passing game from delhome (sp). Playaction with goings should be successful with the aggressive LB's of the falcons. Too strong defenses, but IMO Carolina is the better playing team right now.

Bills (-1.5) over Cincy
Hate going against the Bengals at home but the cold weather should effect the Bill as much as it would other teams. The defense of the bills should be up top stopping the run and the secondary is good enough to play one V one on the cincy WR's. Kitna gets the start and he is known as being a good QB but makes mistakes. Drew bleedsoe (sp) has to have a good game and make big plays. This will pull the secondary off the WR and pull the LB's deep giving McGahee room to run. Then the bills can mix it up and keep the Bengals on their heels. Cincy will throw the ball, they have a ton of talent at WR BUT the key is not to give Kitna time to set up. The guy has been riding pine for 12 weeks and now gets the start. Hope the Bills defense forces the issue and the rust should show a bit. Bill have playoff aspirations and have been playing good football of late. Cincy against Balt is a good indicator, Balt had the edge and kind of relaxed. Played more coverage rather than stay aggressive. This gave the WR's of cincy time and Palmer time to see them. The D-line of the bills have to get in the back field and meet the QB. Get Kitna frazzled and he will force it and that is where the bills should get the edge.

3-1-1 OK on the weekend so far.

Miami (+10) over New England

The Dolphins allow 138.8 rushing yards per game, the 4th most in the league. Dillon should be able to move the ball. But 3 of Brady's 4 lowest regular-season yardage performances have come against Miami. Dolphins should be up for this Monday night match up in their house. They have a solid defense that never quits and the offense should play with a nothing to lose attitude. NE took another hit in the secondary with the loss of Poole at CB. Now the secondary is extremely thin and Harrison has the flu. Still Miami isn't a power house offensively. New England is 5-1 on the road and Miami is 1-5 at home. HOWEVER in those 5 loses only one of them has been by 10 points. Dolphins should have enough talent to make a game of it at home. Really don't like going against NE but 10 is a lot of chalk away and against a team that would like nothing more than to spoil the Patriots playoff home field advantage chances.

Agree with you Irish, also feel this is Miami's last chance to play in front of the country and maybe show people they aren't quite as bad as their record may indicate. Hoping their pride comes out tonight and they play a game within 10 points anyhow. GL
