as child on Christmas

When you hit 50 you can't remember a lot in childhood days but there are always those special ones you got the most enjoyment from.

Would have to say mine was a Daisy BB gun--
followed closely by an Erector Set.

Hmmm thought just struck me-- one might be needing "Erector Set" more once they hit 50 :)

Lee's Summit, Mo.
Ithaca Featherweight 20 gauge shotgun.

My grandfather got it for me when I was ten years old and that meant I had graduated from the 410 single shot to the 20 gauge automatic. Still use it today after 32 years.

I got a run-of-the-mill stuffed animal... a skunk that let you put your hand up into its head and squeeze a little ball to make a sound.... I have no idea why, but I VIVIDLY remember getting it. The strange thing is that it was given to me by my grandma, and she died of cancer when I was about 2 years, 7 months old. I wouldn't think I'd remember something like that, being so young. But I completely and totally remember it. I'm 26 now, and I still have it stored away at my Mom's house as a reminder.

funny someone from Bowling Green would ask this, since my answer for most *memorable* has to be a little plastic red corvette keychain from the museum.

As a child, my most memorable Christmas gift was the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle. My dad said he had to drive down to North Carolina from Baltimore to find a store that still had one in stock.

As an adult, since my son was due to arrive around Christmas, but born on New Year's Day, the answer is obvious. :)

I've had two favorites.... they were each the most perfect gifts at the time they were received. When I was 10, my parents gave me every little girl's dream present, a pony. Then when I was 16, they gave me my first car, a 1969 VW Karmann Ghia!

When I was 10 got a Real stand up video game. This is before Sega or anything so VERY cool. It was 10 yard fight a football game. Anyone remember that??? Man I played that thing for like 3 days straight. I still remember falling asleep in the chair in front of it.
