St Johns -5 over Marist ****
Spent mucho time on this game.Brady there new coach has done a great job with the red Foxes.Shooting wise this team is 10% better in almost every catogory.Whittington the soph is 4th in the nation in 3 pts shooting and FG%.In last 2 games he's 15-25 and has 4 games were he has hit 6 tre's.But those last 2 games were in Poughkeepsie.
Jordan the pt is excellant ranking 2nd in the nation in assits.McClurkin in the middle is there only real inside presence but Farmer and Stilphen have really looked good.Stil is a red shirt frosh avg 7pts 7 bds.
Ellerbee is out and Monohgan is back but not 100%.Marist has looked good but there not putting anybody away.
The just beat Lafayette 83-79 last week at home.Laf has lost 6 in a row.Almost beat them despite Whits hitting 6 tre's.They beat St Peters by 4 with there zone defense.Held them to 6-35 in the 1st half and then gave up 60 pts in the 2nd half but hanged on for a win.
Marist isn't as good on the road. They lost to vermont by 20 and Holy Cross by 27.

Johnnies are up and down. They lose to St Francis by 1 and a few nites later beat Vir Tech by 10.The hofstra loss was predicatable.Packed house on the road, and Hof is talented.
Hill is still one of the best gds in the BE.He just has no b-ball IQ.He can blow by anyone, shoot 3's,penetrate,pass and of course go "solo" like his idol Iverson. In fact he is the Johnnies Iverson.Hamilton in the middle has become the force. At 6'9 240 is can be tough.Epperson has promise at 6'8 and can score.Dexter Gray is the 6'5 frosh gd from Mt Vernon and I saw him play twice in the NY State finals.Fairfield,Siena, and other MAAC schools weren't even intrested in him.And he starts today.I guess roberts saw something I never saw.Lawrence and Jones come off the bench.
I like Johnnies here.Think they are overall quicker.Hill is the best player out there. There playing in Alumni Hall not MSG.Marist will play its 2-3 zone, matchup.Johnnies should pound the ball inside to Hamilton.McClurkin will have trouble on post defense.Think Whittington can't keep this pace of 3's esp on the road.
If Jonnies play like they did vs VT they win by 15.If they play like the St fran game Marist can beat them by 1.
If Hill plays like he can and Hamilton stays out of foul trouble Johnnies win and cover.

North Car -14 over Vir Tech **
Don't think VT can stay with them for 40 minuts.Stop Dixon or slow him down.VT has 4 or 5 to slow down.

Miami O +6.5 over southwest Mizzou **
Think they can win outright.

Mass -4.5 over Davidson *
If Lappas can get there heads unswollen they can win this by 8-10 pts.

Still working on NC St-Wash game

Yest went 7-4 overall.Not to bad.Ahh
It was terrible.Memphis and Bama big plays lost.Freak'in Calipari. No way they shouldn't beat AP and cover.I guess there are some real problems on that team.My bad, terrible job.Bama scored like I thought. But this moring going back on that game I realized they didn't play any defense either. In capping that game I knew Tenn St can score.I gave the bama scores 114,101,etcBut miscalculated the Tenn St scores of 102 and 96.Poor job on my part.

Lost also on my Giants.Denver helped me out in a late game but a pretty bad day.
Hope to rebound today..GL

St Johns was a nice win but there basketball IQ is unreal. There up 63-52 with 4.45 left. With a minut to go there up 69-60.They foul Whittington from behind the 3, who I think after today leads the nation in 3 pt shooting. He makes all 3 FT's.Then he hits another 3.Ahh.Thank the lord the Johnnies hit there Ft's and won 72-64 and covered.Johnnies shot 16-19 from the FT.
But I said earlier about Whittington..

"In last 2 games he's 15-25 and has 4 games were he has hit 6 tre's.But those last 2 games were in Poughkeepsie."
Well,it doesn't make a difference if he is in Poughkeepsie or Jamica,Queens..this kid can shoot anywhere. He was 7-14 today beyond the arc.Overall 9-17 and ended up with 31 pts.A star on the rise.

Capped NC St-Wash. Can't get a good read. Both teams played poorly on defense in there last games.A small lean towards the Huskies since this is Packs 1st away game.Love to schedule 8 straight home games vs New Orleans,Manhattan,Elon,Campbell,LibertyUL Laf[who gave them a game] etc.
Wash has played OU,Utah,Bama,and Zaga.
NC St lyr was a great away underdog. In my top 10 teams.I hate playing against them and at +4.5.
Right Angle likes Wash so I'll play it for half a box.Should pass.Hodges is one of my favorites but I love Nate.I would love to see him more. But we don't get left coast games here on the right coast.
I think I'm getting the ESPN full court TV package for X-mas.My kids are getting it even though my wife is against it.

Hammy bear..thanks for the nice comments.I sure wasn't the "man" yest with those picks.
Randycity..maybe pass tonitre.I'm not recommending anything tonite.Playing R.A's play
DR T..I got lucky and the Johnnies won today. But Whittington will win a lot of games in the MAAC.

My kids made me watch the movie "Supersize me"
Holy Shit...did anybody ever see that.

Wish you were a little more enamored with Wash as they are the last leg of a 4 party parlay that will give me a grand. At least it is being televises and I can switch back and forth between them and the Colts. :)

GL and hope like hell you win your 1/2 box.

Best to you,
Bill
