buffalo bulls (+1)

grabbing this one now because i think this will flip flop and the bulls will be favored by game time. the fact that penn state opened as the favorite here is perplexing. buffalo is so much better than psu. dont want to go too nuts with this one because buffalo can always decide to play like 'the old buffalo', but assuming they bring their game, they win by 6 to 8 points.

gman, I'm right behind you. On my rankings I have Buffalo ranked 112th and Penn St. at 203. I have Buffalo as a 3 point favourite.

Good Luck, and keep up the great work.

toledo rockets (-6)
cursory glance at the line probably looks high, but theres a reason a 1-4 team is laying 6 pts on a neutral court: toledo should win by 12-14 points. rockets burned a lot of money early monday morning, but i think this is the right time to play 'em. delaware struggled with auburns transition game in a big way, and thats the same way toledo plays. hens just dont have the athleticism to matchup with toledo. dont be fearful of this one, lol. :)

eastern washington eagles (+22)
no secret that gonzaga is a cash machine for me, but this is a terrible spot for them. its the ultimate sandwich game. bulldogs coming off a big upset (at least in the eyes of the media) against georgia tech in vegas. now they make a quick stop at home over christmas break before traveling to play oklahoma state on saturday. i dont think were gonna see anywhere near gonzaga's best effort. ewu is the 'black sheep' of the washington rivalries. gonzaga certainly takes the games against washington and washington state a lot more seriously (and for good reason). im sure ewu is going to be up for the game. i just dont think gonzaga will be up for it, and even if they are, the backdoor should be wide open. laying 20+ in between georgia tech and oklahoma is a recipe for disaster. just hope ewu withstands the first 10:00. really think this is a great spot to go anti-gonzaga.....and then come back with em taking the points in oklahoma on saturday.

rcxslam:

very tough game, but i actually lean to texas tech. hard to say which coach wants this game more, so not gonna try and cap it from that angle. just think tech is a more fundamentally sound team. iowa FG% defense isnt that bad, but i still dont like the way theyre defending this year. too many easy looks for the opposition. raiders motion offense should be able to have success here. good luck. probably a no play for me but a lean to tech.

GL today G. I was looking at Buff but decided to leave it alone.

Toledo has expanded my ass several sizes so stayed away from them today so you could win. :)

GL for the rest of day.

iupui jaguars over 145

louisville gonna be in a nasty mood after choking the kentucky game away. both these teams are very aggressive and play fullcourt basketball. should see a lot of transition and 3balls flying. really think this is the kind of matchup where the fouls can mount up and a lot of scoring can be done at the line.

13-6 on the totals. gl if your try it. i think it can be a 10pt winner.

bulls made that one a lot harder than it had to be. gotta love the growing pains of an up and coming program. as long as eastern washington doesnt implode, should be a great night.

posting this one now, but will post it in its own thread later:

bang toledo tomorrow afternoon against auburn.
they will win outright.

pushing this one a little bit:

eastern washington 2nd half (+11.5)

just not convinced gonzaga runs away with this game with such a big game up next. think were looking at a 15-17 point final.

daily double on eastern washington.
that'll work.
4-1 for the day.

late night:

southern california trojans

fundamentally, might not be the brightest play (laying chalk on a neutral court with an erratic team) but really think indiana state is grossly outclassed in terms of athletes. will southern cal be undisciplined enough to keep em in the game? hopefully not. trojans have actually been playing good ball lately. as long as they dont allow isu to turn this game into a halfcourt grinder, i dont think isu has enough firepower to win. normally i look to the dog on these neutral courts, but this is a chalk that should cover (a la toledo this morning)

Gman,

Do you think USC will be an even better bet in the 2nd Half
considering it will be around 1:30AM for the kids from Indiana
at that point?

dirk:

valid point. although usc isnt the most consistent bunch, so (although i really think they win w/o a problem here), if they decide to come out like dog shit, theyre not a team im gonna chase with in the 2h because they are one of those teams that either brings it, or leaves it at home. no in between. im counting on the former though tonight.

rcx:

yeah, its in puerto rico but i think its just a round robin where everyone plays everyone. but not entirely sure. either way, toledo drew auburn tomorrow.

Damn, gman. Didn't realize you were on this game....hate to be opposite of you. Took the points with the Sycamores tonight for a good sized wager, also on the ML +230 for 1/2 my side wager. I realize Sycs are outclassed here, but just expecting SC to be their typical, lethargic selves away from home. Not going to expect anything different until proven otherwise. USC not known for imposing their will on teams away from home. Sycamores kept it close against a good Miami-OH team, at IU (though not great)and recently at Ball State. They have to be more motivated here, they have some inside presence and should turn this into a half-court grinder. If being so far away from home doesn't get to them, I like my chances. We'll see.

JCoverS...although USC may play with more energy at home than away...according to last year, their #'s don't support that...they went 2-11 ATS at home as opposed to 10-4 at away....
