GB (+3) over Minny
I'm sorry but the vikings out right suck on defense. Normally I wouldn't use that type of term describing a team because it shows bias but they are rotten! two weeks in a row now they have come out and played poorly on defense and this week Farve will take advantage. Against Jax Farve threw 2 redzone picks, something I think is very uncharacteristic. Green fumbled twice and yet they still made a game of it. It took a botched hold for Minny to beat the lions (who scored on an 80 yard drive with no time out in under a minute). The GB defense in not good but they have enough talant to make a few stops. Think Farve bounces back after 2 so/so weeks and Green has open running lanes. Inside on turf so no element problems also favors the WR's on poor CB's Moss & Robinson and Driver & Walker. This should be a big offensive game but after watching Minny the last two weeks, IMO GB is the better football team.

KC (-8) over Oakland
Normally I would never lay this much with this KC team, perhaps the KC of last year but not this years squad. But the Raiders have struggled on defense. Voleck torched them last week and that was with out a running game and in Oakland. Now the raiders travel to balmy KC where the chiefs have found themselves again. Johnson is running like Holmes, Green is playing well and the defense has even stepped it up a bit. All that and a rowdy home crowd spells trouble for a raiders team. PROBLEM is who will cover J. porter, he is Collins favorite target and is now showing the numbers that people expected in the beginning of the year. Still in this (IMO) shootout you have to take the team with more firepower and that is KC. The o-line is too quick for Washington and Sapp and should have no problems pulling and getting separation to block down field. Woodson was out drinking hours after last weeks win and should be held out but no official word yet. Plus some how, some where KC still has a long shot at the playoffs and they are playing better football.

Washington (-2) over Dallas
Defense will be all over Testeverde all day. Ariington should play more of a role in this game. Rivalry and both teams should be up for the game. Ramsey has confidence and is playing better. He should find open holes in the secondary. because the cowboys will be playing run. Williams a run stopper will be close to being in the box so one v one coverage on the corners can be exploited. Dallas will attempt to establish the running game but the skins have to stack the box and use their speed at LB to hold him to short gains. Keshawn is vinnys favorite target, Skins have to be on him like glue. Whitten will get Taylor on him and it should be an interesting match-up. The tune is unhappy with his team and they have not responded to his antics as other teams have in the past. With vinny at the helm the skins can cause pressure and force him to throw it up which he will!

Pitt (-5.5) over Ravens
revenge play, Lewis broken wrist, short week and going into Pitt all cause problems for Balt. BUT will Plax or Duce play? Injuries have really hurt the steelers of late and they don't have the depth to replace everyone going down. Still should be a defensive battle and the running games of both teams will get a lot of work. The X factor is QB play, boller is starting to play better but he does throw the ball into coverage a lot. Steelers play well at home, second week in a row the ravens travel. Should be a hard fought game.

Waiting on some news on the bills before I pull the trigger on Buffalo (-11.5) hate to play this away without their starting RB or top 2 TE's!!

Merry Christmas

DEN (-4) over Tenn
not a lot of time for a write up. IMO this is a statement game for the broncos. They have been out played the last two weeks and looking for them to bounce back. Injuries are a plenty in Tenn but Voleck has done a great job. No running game for the Titans and Champ on Bennett should spell trouble for him in the passing game. Expect the Denver defense to play big with the lack of skill players for the titans and they can be VERY aggressive. Don't like giving up points on the road to a team with nothing to lose but I think the Broncos have the running game to just run straight over the Titans.

Eagles (+3) over Rams
IMO the rams defense cannot handle the TO-less Philly offense. Also the Eagles will come out and look to step it up to adjust to life without TO. I think Rid tries some different things to mix it up. The defense for the eagles should be able to catch the rams offense off guard with blitzes. Bulger should be a little rusty and the o-line isn't the best in the NFL. IMO the Eagles should get a few turnovers but the Eagles have something to prove and the Rams just are not a good looking football team right now. A lot of questions in the front office and on the field.
