Rangers manager Buck Showalter.....Nobody epitomized more than Johnny what we want to do and how we should handle ourselves as professionals in this game. The manager?s office here in Texas has his name on it and it will always be his. The rest of us are just passing through it. I can tell you there is one heckuva baseball game being played in Heaven today.

Thanks for posting this he was a class act. Lived the way I'd want to if I were facing death. I doubt I'd have the grace and courage to pull it off.

VERY VERY SAD.... it's great they are retiring his number in TEXAS....great way to remember this man...and his number will be placed on the outfield wall....Great thing to do so he will never be forgotten....
