I like the Crue and i'll be going to either the Sunrise or Tampa show, but they're probably only my 3rd or 4th favorite 'hard rock' band and maybe 10th overall. Very good band, though, and i'm pleased that I helped to make this New Year special for you, Dr. Feelgood. :)

They just interviewed Tommy and Nikki on Fox News. Needless to say, those two are pretty banged up, but it should be a great show.

I am shocked to hear this Kosar, shocked. I kinda thought they were washed up when they had to resort to hard core porn on stage to sell tickets, but hey whatever you gotta do to make a living I guess. ALOT of bands from the 80's I would like to see tour again, this sadly is not one of them. I did see them years ago here in Pittsburgh, but not sure how relevant they are these days, but enjoy it nontheless. When you convince Guns-n-Roses to get back together please post that info.

lol- nah, never liked KISS too much. Guns N Roses would be number one on the hard rock list for sure. Ummmmm, then maybe Poison.

Will anyone else admit that they thought the girls in Poison were hot on the "Look What the Cat Dragged In" cover before they found out they were men? Damn teenage hormones! :cursin:

Like who, pf? Cinderella? LA Guns? Winger? Poison, for sure. Jackyl? Bulletboys? Whitesnake? Warrant? Skid Row? Tesla?

What was the name of that one female hard rock band? They were terrible.

Are you talking about Vixen? They were a little hard on the ears, but damn good to look at.

i saw Velvet Revolver a few months ago and they were ok, but when they started out ta get me and it's so easy people went crazy, those songs were light years ahead compared to others they played.

can't see anything like GNR to happen again.

mc plays in Helsinki june 7th, if i don't have ANYTHING else to do i might go and see them,
never liked them actually.

As much as I hate to admit it, Cinderella maybe, Whitesnake for sure, Def Leppard, Ratt, Queensryche, The Scorpions, as well as some one hit wonders that I could sit through a couple songs anyway like Drivin and Cryin. Some of the ledgends had big runs during that time as well like Van Halen (Only with David Lee Roth), Ozzy (his time has passed though), ACDC, etc... You would have to drag me kicking and screaming to a Bon Jovi show unless they promised not to play anything from after 1983 and I don't think that you could set the price high enough to keep me away from and original Guns and Roses reunion, hell I would even sit through the Metallica set all over again if it meant seeing the original GNR again, sadly we may as well be waiting for bigfoot to appear cause it ain't happening.

Guns n Roses was an excellent band but christ they only put out 1 decent album/CD...unless you call the 5-6 song Ep a full Album. And honestly, if it weren't for Motley, Ratt, Great White, Queensryche, etc there would have never been a GNR.

Everyone has there opinion but for me it is
Motley (way up here)

and the rest down here Warrant,Van Halen (Roth), Great White, Tesla, Dangerous Toys, Jackyll, Junkyard, Ratt, Black Crowes, etc....

And Motley Crue did anything close, scratch that, anything that could hold a candle to Appetite for Destruction? I guess you never heard the Use Your Illusion albums, too busy with masterpieces like Rattlesnake Shake and Slice of Your Pie. At least on GNR's albums you didn't find filler trash like that.
One good album, are you serious, if so your opinion just lost alot of merit.

Look PF, Appetite for Destruction is one of my all time favorite albums but the Use your Illusion albums are not even close to Shout at the Devil and Too Fast for Love. I thought they were pretty gay and after buying Illusion 1, I was not gonna spend the 15 bucks for Illusion II. Every song on Shout is AWESOME (OK Danger shouldn't be on there) whereas November Rain is the only song off both those Albums worth listening to.

I would put Appetite slightly above Shout but that's where the comparisons end for me. Too Fast for Love, Theatre of Pain,Girls, Girls, Girls, are all great. Motley did it louder, harder, and LONGER than the Gunners.

The songs you mention are definately not some of their greatest but how can you not like Dr Feelgood (wink), She Goes Down, Kickstart, and SOS? All great party tunes. Primal Scream is another great tune from a compilation CD.

The CRUE were there from the early 80's and are still here today (with a 7-year hiatus where all but Mick---he's gotta be 60-- had semi successful Solo careers). They made the transition from metal to glam back to metal and did it while always being at the top. Their longevity speaks for itself. No they are not the Stones, but they are certainly way out of the Gunners league as far as longevity and total output.

I am a Crue Head through and through ever since my first trip to Cali in 83 when I first heard Too Fast for Love and saw the poster on my cousins wall with the skulls and handcuffs. So my opinion may be scewed but I think I present a pretty good argument here.

You like the Gunners, I love the Crue, that's what makes America so great.

Have a safe and Happy CRUE Year!!!!!!!!
