typically have either been red hot or ice cold this time of year, so hopefully we'll see early which it'll be this time around  plays will be ranked 1-10*, and will probably not have any 10* plays unless a) unforeseen line moves occur over the next couple of weeks, or b) i do very well early and have some of the 'ole holiday cheer in me :)

played these when the lines came out a while back...

va tech +7 4*

tamu -2.5 3*

fresno +6 (1/2 pt) 4*

cal (1/2 pt) 4*

texas -5 8*

texas is a big play for me. may not have a bigger one this bowl season. love the way the longhorn offense matches up with the wolverine d. will have more of a write-up on this one for sure once i have some more time.

played this one a couple days ago, and think this line is ridiculous...

unt +6 :142lmao: 5*

when will people wise up to the fact that north texas PLAYS HARD and are NOT AT ALL outclassed athletically by a middle of the road c-usa team such as southern miss this year and cincinnati a couple years back. will probably hit the ml for a couple *'s as well.

just added...

utep +3 5* and +128 2* :)

believe me, the buffs could not give a sh^t less about this game. they played their bowl game already. it was in lincoln three weeks ago. hilltoppers will be much more focused and will get the win. ;) ;)

comments more than welcome. looking forward to a nice finish to the season.

I dunno to me you are playing some tough games. How about adding some MAC teams of Bowling Green, Miami Ohio, and Toledo in the mix. Or Hawaii, Oregon State, Pittsburg, and UCLA. Those are my picks. May go small on UTEP, thats all I would touch.
I like Virginia Tech, but they are playing a very tough Auburn team, if V Tech played any other team I would be all over them. Maybe if the line moves up a bit I'll go V.Tech Randell's a good QB, but that Auburn D is very good. People don't think they were snubbed for no reason. I personally would have liked to see a USC-Auburn game.

Good luck wc.

Question for you. If the Buffs could care less about playing in this game, why has the line moved to +4 and +150?

homedog-

obviously there are those that disagree with me! i am an avid big 12 follower, and i live in denver. i read the newspaper. i could be dead wrong, and if so, i will admit that. i just get the feeling that the buffs feel they have already overachieved this year. they won in lincoln. barnett is conference coach of the year. played, and were stomped, in the big 12 title game. they are already talking about next year. this game is more of an afterthought. now granted, they are much bigger than utep on both sides of the line. whomever is running the ball for the buffs will have some lanes to run thru at some point. but i believe the buffs will be a little flat, and before they know it, will be in a dogfight. buffs usually travel pretty well, but will not have many fans in houston. add to that that this is a huge game for mike price. he will have his team ready to play. utep wins a shootout, 34-27. good luck in whatever you decide. :weed:

Question for you: Since you live in Denver and seem to have a good handle on the Buffs. You mentioned "whomever is running the ball for the Buffs" I am looking at a prop bet on Purify vs Jackson in total yards rushing. Is there talk about Purify not playing or playing less? Just wondering. Any help is appreciated. I like UTEP as well.

purify is a tough kid, there is no doubt about that. he has gained the respect of many around the program by the way that he has handled the injuries he has been faced with. he doesn't complain, and very rarely will ask out of a ballgame. but, he has got a shoulder that needs major surgery. three weeks of rest is not going to make one bit of difference once he takes a hit on that shoulder. he will try to stay in the game, but his effectiveness will be limited if utep can be physical with him early. as far as the prop, i have not seen the line on that one. my gut says that purify will have some success, but as the game wears on will end up splitting time at best. utep may have a difficult time running early on, but the buffs have shown a tendency to soften up as the game progresses(given this is against other big 12 competition). tough call imo, but if you do play it, you will know if it is a winner or a loser pretty early on. gl.

Thanks for the good input. I can't imagine the coaches will let Purify get banged around too much with that injury in a game like this. We are not talking Nebraska or the B12 Championship. This is the friggin' Houston Bowl, hopefully they give him the honor of starting and then get him outta there and protect that shoulder.
