Talk about a tough game to cap. Yeah, Minny's got those RB's, but their QB is awful. If Bama stops the run Minny could be shook. But Darby is banged up for Bama and that doesn't help either, although I think he plays. Any thoughts out there from Bama and Minny fans? Thanks. :clap:

Tough game to call.The talk here in town is that Darby has only taken 25-30% of the reps in preparation for this game.If Darby can't go the Tide is down to one scholarship tailback in freshman Aaron Johns.

Alabama has been practicing a new 4 wide receiver set formation to account for not having Darby at 100%. They are also very pumped up about playing in a bowl game after a very tough season of unfortunate injuries and probation the last couple of years. But they are still very thin as far as depth, and they have yet to win a game on the road against a team with a winning record under Mike Shula. They are 3-14 against teams with a winning record overall for the past 2 years with all 3 wins against Southern Miss, and South Florida at home.
Alabama's defense isn't missing anybody though and they are very tough, especially against the run. So, this one could go either way, but with Darby out, Alabama is going to have to throw the ball and they have not done that well all season. I would have to lead towards Minnesota, but it should be close.

your right about the game with the tigers....but that's when they got busted up with most of the injuries they have today...
rain is forcasted in nashville and that field is extremely slippery...my guess is a lot of field goals in this game... Alabama will BE WEAKER then USual on DEFENSE. Alabama will run it and run it some more to hold down the score..that's my best guess...don't like this game ... minny holds the edge with a healthier team.
