Found this posted on Yahoo on Wednesday... anybody heard any updates?
==============================
Dec 29 Quarterback Daunte Culpepper was excused from Wednesday's practice and sent home with severe flu-like symptoms, according to KFAN.com in Minneapolis. Cornerback Antoine Winfield and tight end Jermaine Wiggins were also feeling ill and sent home, but Vikings coach Mike Tice expects all three to return to practice later this week. "Hopefully by Friday, guys will be feeling good," Tice told KFAN.com. "We don't expect them to be coming in here [Thursday] doing cartwheels." Tice added that while Daunte was the sickest of those sent home, he expected him to be in the lineup Sunday against the Redskins. "He's a warrior," Tice said. "He wouldn't miss this game for anything."
Views: Former Redskin Gus Frerotte would start if Culpepper has not recovered, and wide receiver Randy Moss also took some snaps in practice to prepare for a worst-case scenario. Given that it was Moss' red-zone interception against the Seahawks that has put the Vikings on the brink of being bumped from the postseason on the final day for the second straight season, the thought of him under center is enough to make us reach for the barf bag.
