pac-10 was awful this year.
problem is....usc is not a pac10 team. theyre a west coast team that plays like an east coast team.
usc is so far ahead of any team out west right now. theyre like a pro team with all that talent. but the rest of the conference is lame.
and i think thats what skews opinions of them, and its unfair.
pac10 guys shouldnt argue that the conference sucks.
east coast should not argue that usc is somehow not legit because of their conference
I didnt see even the worst Pac 10 bashers dispute that USC was one of the Top 2 teams in the country. (Except maybe BBK).
Gman and BJ have it right. I thought USC was number 2, looks like that was wrong. But that has nothing to do with the silly conference debate same on here have - I dont think it can be argued with a straight face that the pac 10 is a great conference. Is CUSA greta too because of Louisville, or the MWC because of Utah? Aconference is a collection of teams- it isnt judged on one.

Of course my other thought is how on earth did Texas fail to even sniff a score on those guys. But right now in Austin Mack and Davis are gods for winning the Rose Bowl.
