Vanished into vortex
People around here have lost EVERYTHING due to floods not once, but twice and their homeowners insurance does not cover it, sure FEMA steps in, but that only helps so much. A guys house gets clobbered by a friggin mudslide of all things and the insurance company offers its sympathy, but nothing more. WTF is insurance for if it doesn't cover anything?
You have to have homeowners insurance if you have a mortgage, but just don't ever need to use it. For crying out loud these people have lost everything and the insurance companies just sit back and collect the premiums.

Memo to all insurance companies:

GO **** YOURSELVES

I do have to something to say about this but not about regular insurance companies..

I have cingular wireless for my cell phone.. Well in the last 12 months they have given me two pieces of shit phones that do not work.. We u guessed it when the 2nd phone took a shit, they said we are sorry but will replace ur phone for $50 and then cancel your insurance since u r a high risk.. wtf it is their piece of shit equipment that is the high risk not me... Then the son of a bittches are instant messagin on my new phone they have not received my old phone back in the mail and will charge me for thet phone if they don't received it. I called these mfers today and inform them that piece of shit was in the mail the day be4 chrsimas, why in the fuk would i wanna keep it..

Cingular has a separate company for insurance, I think it is lockline or some bullshit name that way they keep their service contract separate from the insurance coverage.. I am gonna find out when my contract is up w/them and switch the phone to verizon or anybody half way legit.. I have had cell insurance for at least 8 yrs never had any bs like this be4..

just venting..

Yes, insurance is a f*cking joke. If I had homeowners insurance and something took out my house like a mudslide, and they wouldn't cover it... I don't want to know how I'd react, but I have a feeling it would end with me in jail.

The entire industry completely and utterly disgusts me.

A friend of mine that owns his own business has been paying $569/month for health insurance for himself.

Figures he is paying for quality insurance. Ends up needing a triple bypass. Finds out all of the things NOT covered equal 50 dimes that he now has to come up with. I don't think anyone can read the fine print on things not covered in these policies.

Don't forget, it goes both ways...

Insurance Fraud

$1,030 per year, that's what the average American household pays every year in out-of-pocket-costs as a result of insurance fraud!

If insurance fraud was a business, it would be a top Fortune 500 company. Auto, home and business insurance fraud cost Americans more than $85 billion a year.

Fraud could be as simple as misrepresenting facts on an insurance application or "padding " or inflating actual claims or as serious as submitting claims for injuries or damage that never occurred and "staging" accidents. At least 10% of all auto, home and business insurance claims are either fraudulent or highly inflated.

Research indicates that the public's attitude about insurance fraud has grown increasingly tolerant in recent years. Studies show that 1 in 3 Americans believe it is "all right" to pad claims to make up for premiums paid in previous years when they had no claims. Most people think that fraud is a victimless crime, but You Are the Victim. Insurance fraud directly affects the amount you pay for health, auto and homeowner's insurance and increases the prices you pay for goods and services.
