they still have not addressed their big problem, they are a bunch of 6 inning starters, pm won't be going 7 and 8 this is not the al and you have a dh, they need arms in the middle , hell you can have all the hitting you want, piching and deff wins games in college and pros, mark my word they will be a 500 team till they grab 3 good arms for the middle 2 need to be left handed arms. be happy all you want the mets are not going to make a run. I bet you ab also dose not have a good season , ney your is not kc or houston, very hard to play in that city , you need a certain make up and I don't think he has it, just ask javier, jeff weaver and other what it is like to play in ny be it a yank or met, takes a certain type of player and mark it down ab is not that player type. might learn to be but it won't be next year.

The Mets made a mistake here imo. They overpaid for a guy who is a .267 career hitter. He put up good #'s last year but he played half the season in the hitter friendly stadium in Houston. The stadium over there is Coors Field minus the altitude.

He isn't a natural or vocal leader. He keeps to himself & is not fit for NY. He is the kind of guy who can & at some point will get negatively affected by the NY media when he hits periods of slumps.

this was no way a stupid move for the mets. every year they go out and get these big name players for alot of money and they just suck, just like everyone knew they were going to. i dont think this is the case with beltran. he is still young, and has plenty of game left. not the case with glavine, alomar, vaughn, etc.

i think this is comeback year for floyd, jason phillips. add that to piazza (iffy), david wright who has already proven himself, and beltran and cameron, and sorry fletcher, we got way above .500 team here.

their staff has 3 very good starters and 2 decent ones. all this being said if they stay healthy, obviously. thes guys are capable of pitching lights out. they may only need to go a few innnings with the amount of run suppoert they will have.

my prediction: mets hang with braves this year and make wild card in NL. from there, who knows?
