Call me crazy, but I feel like all that separates the Jets and the Steelers this Sunday is the homefield (which is obviously huge) and a turnover or big play special team's touchdown. The Jets defense is very tough, and its offense is not explosive, but they will keep this one tight because Martin does not fumble and Pennington is cool as a cucumber. I really hope that Chrebet plays because I think he is clutch. Abraham I could care less about. This game could be the shocker of the playoffs if the Jets can come up with a big play touchdown on Defense or special teams. Pitt is on fire, but by no means are they unbeatable.

highly doubt he gets 2 td's. don't think they get more than 3 total. add in the fact there's staley, bettis and ward to give the ball to. maybe 1, but not two. ben will probably only throw the ball about 20 times in the game.

Vanished into vortex
Have heard this argument against the Steelers for oh, about 14 games now and the end result is pretty much the same. I can see it now (in fact someone can copy this for a future signature) if the Steelers win the SuperBowl all this board will be able to talk about is how weak the NFC was this year and how any other year it would have been different.

I've never doubted the Steelers. I may even bet them this weekend. I am just saying that this JETS team has a solid defense and does not turn the ball over. Bottomline is that Pennington is not a chump.

I know you are saying the Jets do not turn the ball over in general but the last time the Jets played the Steelers Pennington threw 3 Interceptions. He was confused, pressured, and he doesnt have a strong arm. Especially since he hurt it. I know 9 is a lot of points in a playoff game but the line is that high for a reason and I dont see the Jets scoring much, maybe 1 touchdown and a FG.

Steelers 24-10

regardless of what you decide, good luck with your picks.

On the other side.....
Roethlisberger was 9-19 144yds and 2 picks. Lets see how the rookie responds this week in the biggest game of his life. Its always fun to debate, I would wish you luck on your pick but I have a feeling you willl be on the others side of mine :)
Either way, its is going to be a great game!

First: You asked for it, so here it goes...Your Crazy!

Second: The Jets fall behind Pittburgh in Rush-O, Pass-D, Rush-D and are slightly ahead in Pass-O. Thats alot more than Homefield advantage!

Third: The Jets D is not that tough. They can be scored upon and they give up yardage and points. Pitt is a pedestrian team and will trod forward accordingly, and St. Louis scored 32 just 2 weeks ago, in a must win game for the Jets.

Fourth: Yes indeed, Pitt is on fire and it would be a shocker if the Jets can pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Jets backers are currently rewarded at 3' to 1 on the ML. Didn't Miami win one a few weeks back as 10 dogs?? Miracles can happen, but "shocker" would be the correct word to describe a Jets win.

Good Luck with your magic, Dizzayton

The jets are coming off of a game on the west caost, having played an extra quarter, and now having to face a well balanced #1 seed, which has had an extra week of rest.......................10 points is a lot but I can't put anything on gang green in that situation.............The Jets are a very good team, but after watching New England beat them 23-7 in Jersey, it's very easy to see a better Pittsburgh team do much the same and even more so with Pitt having the bye week...................

28-13 Pitt all the way.......
