Franky, if you are wanting to send them as an attachment, right click on the pic, left click on "save picture as" and then make sure you remember where they are saved, like "My Pictures" on my computer, and then in your email program, attach them like you normally would anything else. If you are wanting to send pix in link form, follow Bahama Mama's instructioins.

I got your email from Jack about CYGX and got an error message back from the one he gave me. If you still have questions, get mine from him.

Good Luck

Why wouldn't I be pleased, Wilson? Pictures like that bring a smile to my face because at least some individual soldiers are shown getting a little positive payback for everything they're going through over there, even if just in the simple form of a smile from a child. I also imagine that they're pretty nervous when they see even a 10 year old boy approaching them with a flower, and equally relieved when it turns out to be just that.

As far as the media not showing these types of things very much, including Fox? Well, I think all of them pretty much got cured of jingoism after the way they gushed over the toppling of the Saddam statue while showing non-stop loops of cheering Iraqi's. None of these news organization even began to question this occupation until we were deep into the morass. They got burned and are probably erring a little on the side of critical thinking nowadays rather than pandering to emotions.

Huh? You guys are something else. Why would *anybody* reject those photos? It's the same ol' arrogance of certain elements that automatically assumes that centrists and the like are rooting against our own country and wouldn't find pleasure in pictures like these. It would be like someone making a crack about you taking pleasure in pictures of homeless people on the street in Chicago in February.

great post 6-5 - please post more of this sort of thing in the future. It's a real kick in the teeth for people like Kosar and his cronies to hate themselves and hate America.

I've said it once to you dimwitted liberals and I'll keep on saying it: The reason the whole world is not engulfed in dictatorships is because of the US and more specifically, the US GI.

Anything you don't understand about that, Kosar?

Englishman,

As a former 'GI' who was 8 miles from the DMZ in Korea when we were on the brink of war in 1994 after Kim Il-sung died and his loopy son took over, I appreciate the kind words. Our troops there, although certainly doomed in the initial phase of a North Korean attack, certainly are a deterrence to a pre-emptive attack, if only symbolically. However, it's just not possible for us to run around the world toppling dictatorships on whims. We are stretched too thin for surely what will be a long time and we've never been more vulnerable to a North Korean attack on South Korea, just as one example. And for what?

Anything about that you don't understand?

Kosar:

Firstly, let me say thank you for your service. My brother served with the SAS in the British Army for 20 years, saw action in the Falklands, Northern Ireland and the Balkans, so I do know a little about the commitment involved.

Secondly, we will just have to disagree about the role of the US in the world. If we look at the sweep of history, the US has done so much to liberate all peoples and must continue to do so. Your work on the Korean penninsula in a great example - keeping the South free and working towards the day when the North will also be free.

This then, is America's destiny.

Would you prefer France's destiny? A pathetic, decrepit country without spirit, ....a declining nation of socialist anti-success whiners who cannot be trusted to do anything at any time in any way.

Our work now in Iraq needs the passage of decades before we can see its value and wisdom. As Churchill said: "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for every other kind". Quite.
