im ice cold the last two days, so play or fade as you see fit.
im being very selective with these csu games this season because they are not a good road team. they did, however, come through for spang and me the one and only time we played 'em back in december in akron. really think this is the right time to give 'em shot #2.
cleveland state vikings (+10)
uwgb is overachieving a little bit and thats the reason this number is in double-digits. theyre alone in 1st place right now in the horizon but i think when its all said and done, theyll probably settle around 4th or 5th place.
these two teams played twice last year.
the game in green bay was a 70-69 green bay win that was decided in the final 0:50.
the game in cleveland was a 60-58 green bay win that was decided at the buzzer when rohde went the length of the floor and scored to win it.
3 points separated these two last year.
vikings finally got the monkey off their back with a pretty solid win at home on saturday. obviously youngstown blows but i was admittedly surprised to see csu actually cover the big number (-11.5) that vegas threw up there for that one. a lot of guys played well. westley went for 20, moss went for 16, and redell played a solid floor game and is starting to develop into a nice point guard for them.
the task is gonna be much tough in green bay, but they catch the phoenix in a textbook sandwich spot. uwgb just had a huge win in butler (a team that had owned them for awhile) saturday and theyre staring at a huge game with rival and conference favorite wisconsin-milwaukee up next. in between, theyre making a quick stop home to play an inferior foe (cleveland state).
no reason the vikings cant play well here. theyre probably not gonna get uwgb's best effort, and csu finally got some confidence over the weekend by getting that elusive horizon win. if the vikings cant hang in single-digits then theyre not making as much progress as i thought.
