It was supposed to be the top of the last hour, but I missed it as well..curiuous to see just what Dibs did this time to get shit canned !!
his contract was not renewed and dibbs is exploring new possbilites that dan is not at liberty to discuss yet.
i miss dibble. i saw him get a tatoo of the Ohio State logo on his calf in Columbus for the Michigan/OSU game@ the buckeye cafe.What a crazy guy. If you guys hear what possiblities he was considering please post it. THanks.

From what I can gather, Lasorda called him "Ron" on a telephone call once and it stuck...they always play an audio clip of Lasorda saying "am I right or am i right, Ron"

Maybe Dan Patrick woke up one day and realized Dibble was an idiot who never had an original thought in his life!Proof that he's an idiot:He said Ichiro wouldn't win the batting title in his first year or he'd run times square naked.I saw Ichiro go hitless in his first regular season game with the Mariners and told my wife that it looks like she had a superstar on her favorite team.The next game the hits started in bunches.Dibble played pro baseball but couldn't see this?And his statement came in May or June, I believe. ed, moronic comments don't mean the other 5,000 comments he had were not funny. He was quite entertaining on the show and added a free spirit "heavy" to the atmosphere. I thought he and Dan worked well together.
Even though Dibble was from my home state of Connecticut, he kind of rubbed me the wrong way. He made several good points and provided some solid insight, but he tried to be too macho.
I am a HUGE Ichiro fan, and I loved it when he had like 240 hits as a rookie and showed the world that cannon of his. So what if he bunts and is a slap hitter. Dibble tends to think that if you don't hit the ball out of the ballpark, you;re not a real man. He also thinks that you must be a strikeout pitcher to be be a good hurler.
