these teams were laying absolute bricks in the first 11:00 of this game.

with 9:00 to go, there were just 16 points.

suffice to say, both teams got their bricks out of the way and are now in scoring mode (well at least akron is)

halftime is akron 41-23.

2nd half over 75

Good job G, The second half may have been the ugliest half of hoops that I have observed in a long time. The Zips commited 17 2nd half turnovers, many of which were under their own hoop against pressure that led to several easy layups by EMU.

The Zips will see a lot of pressure after the films get out on this one.

Dru still sucks !

what was your take on eastern michigan as a whole? obviously bowler wasnt himself, but what about the rest. that mcellhinny is supposed to be a nice shooter for them. and boo jackson has been pretty solid during his career. what did you think?

and how the hell did akron almost blow a 60-35 lead?

I would have to say that I left the Jar largely unimpressed with EMU. They were dominated inside by the Zips who blocked no less than 8 shots down low tonight. The Zips handled them well on the glass as well. While EMU is big on paper, their guys really don't carry much inside presence at all.

Hard to say anything about McElhinny, I don't think he shot more than a couple of times tonight. Really, Ross is the only guy who really looked good, but I will give EMU credit for tenacity. They hustled until the end, and damn near made a most remarkable comeback due to the sloppy, lethargic play of the Zips in the 2nd half.
