Atlanta's 'college' run first offensive philosophy has taken them to the NFC championship game. Can they make it to the Super Bowl?

The answer is no.
Eagles linebackers will shadow Vick all day and frustrate him into mistakes. Eagles defense will crowd the front line and make Vick pass. Not Falcons strength. The aggressive corners will make Vick throw sharp and accurate passes and frankly he doesn't have the arm strength to do it, especially outdoors on what surely will be cold and windy Philly January day.

On the other side, McNabb looks to have adjusted to life without T.O. I believe another week of practice will only make this offense better.

Andy Reid will look like a genius after it is all said and done. He was wildly criticized for resting his best players but football is a long season. This team has recharged their batteries and look hungry. They will not be denied this time and I look for them to go onto the Super Bowl.

Eagles -4.5
MJ record 1-4(hey, I broke my losing streak)

The only thing is that Atlanta's defense is much better than Minnesota's. Philly didn't look great to me and I was not impressed by their play. Philly does have the home field though.

i don't post, but i am gonna reply to this....very funny....michael vick does not have the arm strength....LOL!!!!he is not as accurate as he needs to be, which may be a problem, if they get behind and he is forced to throw, but he does have plenty of are strength...and how many other teams have come intothe game knowing that they have to stop vick?.....crowding the line, plugging the gaps, not giving him lanes to run in.....not predicting the outcome, but your reasons are a joke....

My reasons are a joke?
You are right, you should not post.

This is not the Rams defense.
This is not the Georgia Dome.
This is the pros, not college.

Those are my reasons.
Oh BTW, I would like to see Vick throw a ball into the flat in a 20mph wind off his back foot with Trotter & Co. breathing down his neck. Come and talk to me on Sunday night.

this is not the Rams Defense..

Well the Falcons surely aren't the Vikings either.

The falcon's play in a dome, but do not have your dome style offense. They have the leagues best rushing offense.

Vick has as much arm as Mcnabb if not more.

Yes he has struggled with the new offense.

Well, lets see how far their 4-4 road record and their 'college' type offense can go against this Philly defense.
Fellas, this is not a good match up for the Falcons.

i will come back and talk to you on sunday night, cuz....whether atl wins or loses, i did not predict either, i will come back....

this is not the rams defense...lol....this is not the vikings defense either, mr mcnabb, better get ma to fix you some extra chunky soup.... hehehe...

mitchell stepped up big yesterday for the eagles, good thing, aligator arm todd pinkston wasn't going to do it....don't be scare, son, catch the ball, that is what we pay you to do....

i'm not trying to argue matchup problems or anything else, just responding to what i think is bad thinking, vick has great arm strength, still learning the new offense, has trouble with accuracy a little, holds the ball loosely and fumbles at times, but that all goes with the territory, he is a game breaker,

i have paid many bookies after a sundays results, i'll be happy to pay this bookie some props if the eagles win and cover on sunday, i'll be pulling for the falcons with a heart play, but i'll do more capping on the weekend before any money goes down, hehehe, michael vick....forget about dunn, duckett, crumpler......coleman, brookens......concentrate on vick......

Michael Vick has no problem with arm strength. I was at the Ga. Dome Saturday night, and I can assure you, that if Philly "D" does not bring their A-game, this guy could give them some problems.

My personal opinion is that this game is extremely hard to pick, simply because both teams won so decisively over teams that looked completely unprepared! The Rams looked like they were sleepwalking, and I think the Vikings really were sleepwalking!(Randy Moss).

I do think that the 4 best teams in the league have made to the final four. Should be two great games this weekend! I will not be playing either.

yeah the vick arm strength thing had me scratching my head too, as he has one of the strongest arms ive ever seen actually. an absolute cannon.

problem is, his accuracy is average at best and hes got very little touch on most of his throws.

still a weapon like no other though.

exactly what i wa saying, gman....i go to all the falcons games, and by no means am i saying vick is a great QUARTERBACK, his passes have no touch, not very accurate at times, and fumble-prone with the loaf of bread he totes, but he uses his talents to help equalize that. had under 100 yds passing this weekend, but......

anyway, even though i like the falcons, i have made some $$$ betting against them in the past....not this weekend...i will bet on the falcons or not at all, will not pull against them this week, maybe just stick with the total, any help on that will be appreciated

Should be a great game and I think the eagles finally make the big one next week. Tough spread but I'm going with the eagles to snap their NFC title drought. I know it's not best to go against trends, such as the pats last week, but if the eagles can't do it this year, they may not again for quite a while (I think I said this to myself last year also). Vick is clearly the key to how well the falcons play and it sets up as a great match-up.

I was going over the Falcons season....take note how easy their schedule was. I know many cappers put alot of emphasis on schedule strength in college football for good reason and I feel you cannot discount that angle for the Falcons either.

Ok, I am not picking who is going to win, but how is Atlanta's schedule any worse than the Eagles?
Besides Pitt the Eagles pretty much played the same type of teams. They played the Cowboys twice, the Giants twice, and the Redskins twice.

Also calling a run first offense a college style offense is a bit misleading. Everyone knows in order to win in the NFL you have to be able to run the ball and stop the run.
