UCLA (-6.5) over stanford
No one really gives UCLA credit, they have turned that program around. Not only have they played very well in the Pac-10 but they go to Arizona and give the cats a big scare and really should have won. The Bruins hurt themselves with 23 turnovers. Granted Stanford beat Arizona but IMO I think this game comes down to home court advantage. 6 of the 7 Stanford loses have come on the road. UCLA has only lost 1 game at home and that was to Boston college. Jordan Farmar will have his hands full with Chris Hernandez. Farmar a quick freshman has shown great presence on offense but lacked great defensive skill. tonight he will have to step it up. Fey will be banging Little all game long. IMO Stanford doesn't have the player to guard Thompson. Haryasz/ Robinson will likely get the assignment. Robinson a better player defensively takes away from the Stanford's rebounding efforts. The Bruin crowd should be energetic and the freshman should feed off that energy. The Bruins are playing good team defense, and shooting well.

Arizona (-2.5) over Oregon
The ducks struggle with run and gun teams. They haven't played the strongest schedule and yet they still have 3 loses. Arizona's guard play should be a big factor in this game. Shakur has been playing poorly but Rodgers has stepped it up and been getting more playing time. Still IMO Arizona has played some good teams and shown they have talent, Oregon has not shown they can beat the good teams of late and if you guard Brooks the Duck offense has a tough time winning.

Mid Tenn (-15.5) over So Alabama
Mid Tenn coming off a loss should be ready for this match-up. So. Alabama HAS NOT won a road game this year. In fact, in So. Alabama's last 4 away games they have been beaten by 30,20,25,and 20! Mid Tenn has only lost one home game. positive for So.Alabama is they won their last game, negative is they lost the previous 7. mid Tenn play well at home, they beat the division leading Ark Lil-rock by 35 at home. Think some home cooking is just what Mid Tenn needs and So.Alabama is in for a hurting.

Eastern Kentucky (-14) over Jacksonville St
E. Kent comes home, off a loss to face Jax St on a 10 game losing stretch. This is a much deserved home game for E.Kent after playing SEVEN straight road contest, including games @ Florida and Louisville. In the E. Kent FOUR home games they have beaten their opponents by 55, 28, 28 and 25.They average about 92 points when they play at home. Jax St has lost 7 out of 8 away games. Jax St might be playing a little uninspired and E. Kent will look to rebound which shouldn't be a problem at home tonight.

Illinois (-13.5) over Iowa
Iowa has been lucky enough to avoid a lot of traveling thus far. The hawkeye's have played 4 road contest and lost 2 of them. Never like betting the #1 undefeated teams because everyone always gets up to play them. That being said, Ill has beaten Gonzaga, Wake and Cincy by double digits! In fact Ill has beaten almost every team it has faced at home by DD except Mizzou. Iowa comes to town a tough and determined squad but that is not enough against the talent Ill has on the floor. The Hawkeyes team is not deep at all and they will have a tough time all night if Ill can push the tempo. the lack of a bench has taken it's toll on Iowa, they started off the season scoring in the 90's and 80's. The past 4 games the hawkeyes have scored in the 60's! More than likely Head will be guarded by Peirce, because Peirce is Iowas best one v one defender. North Western gave Ill a bit of a scare but the talent of Ill was good enough to pull the game out. Might have been a good wake-up call for Illinois going into tonights game. Ill has to be focused and ready and they should be able to run right by the hawkeyes.

Cheers
