The big east has been tough on nc st. near misses @ v tech & miami fla. rapped and baged by bottom feeders w virg & st johns ; but these guy played with washington.maryland has 2 wins -vs- acc powers virg & fla st.By the way what is marys quality win thus far?My point,the acc is a little tender in the middle on down. Nc ST will play in their class today, and have a huge chance against this team that they beat on their home court last time. Smith gone for mary ,heart and only tough guy. STATE will miss Melvin but with additions:brackman, grant,collins ,this is going to be a good acc team.Maryland adds gist and bowers,no one to replace smith.If state has learned anything from their big east experience,they will play this one in the paint and kick ass.TAKE THE POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

even with bennerman out, state's big men will hold their own inside. however, with strawberry out, md has little depth at guard, especially defensively, so a goes significant backcourt edge to the wolfpack
Hodge owned Caner-Medley last year and although I am a terp fan, I think he will again this year. 3 games last year, Hodge 28 pts 9 rbs, 27 pts 7 rbs, 31 pts 7 rbs - Caner-Medley 10 pts 1 rb, 8 pts 2 rbs, 4 pts 3 rbs. Both games that MD won, Smith and Gilchrest scored over 20. Smith is gone, Gilchrest has no confidence and Caner-Medley is carrying them offensively. I think Hodge handles Medley and unless Gilchrest gets it going again, the terps are in trouble.
