......but, I am on New England and Atlanta this weekend. I am not WR's "friend" nor do I wager $50,000 on a game. Shoot, I think it would be foolish for me to bet two weeks of my salary on such toss-up games :142lmao:
Enough has been discussed throughout the week on the games, in fact too much (IMO) in some instances. Is it just me, or does it seem there has been alot more negative posts in thread responses? I have absorbed so much information over the course of the year from all the great cappers here at MJ's. As the season nears the end (and probably brought about by the fear of football withdrawl til August) it appears that insight shared by one side is often met with criticism by those favoring the opponent. Not so much in a blatant way or your azz would be banned, but certainly in a disrespectful and condescending manner. It was not so many weeks ago that different views on the game were shared in a civil manner and valid points from both sides could be used by all in making their decisions. A good mixture of insight was invaluable. But now with only four teams remaining I feel some of the "hard-core" fans (and believe me, there's nothing wrong with supporting your team) refuse to even consider the possibilty that their team could falter. The team they wear on their sleeve (or dare I say avatar) has blinded them from accepting any of the capping experience from those with a different slant on the game
I have been teaching at the elementary level (and I hate to admit) for many years. I swear if I turn the volume up on my computer I will hear "NaNaNaNaNaas" coming thru the screen. Some of you may even be sticking your tongue out at each other
I personally find for myself (and please know that I'm not preaching) that it's better to "keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut." I apologize for not adhering to that philosophy here and if I've offended anyone I'm sorry. There are many times I want to respond to a thread where I 'may" think the poster is off base (and it's REALLY hard not to) but choose not to be negative or disrespectful. We are family here, and as is the case in many family situations we do not all see eye to eye. You are not afforded the luxory of choosing your family. You exist with them. It's better to "bite your tongue" than someone's head off
