maybe it's just a made up name, who knows. 2 possibilities above. The Jew hatred would lead you in the direction of him, however. Nice conspiracy theory in the last post. I guess the jews control the American government and military (largest terror organization) while also supplying the 'insurgents' who are in turn kicking ass? Original at least, but maybe garnered from an anti-semite board, not sure.

another 'gem' I found about the powerful Jew and their goals. "Who Rules America http://www.natvan.com/who-rules-america/

Per the original piece, I found it interesting. However, I feel there's so much that goes on in world politics and maneuvering that an average person like me will never be privy to or understand.

Mr Christo, if you aren't anti-American, I must have misread all of your past posts. I don't think anybody here thinks the USA has not made some mistakes.

Yet when I point out a 'mistake', I get howled down for siding with the enemy. ...Guess that means there are 5-6 anti-American's on this board who actually live there?

So, you realise there's been some 'mistakes', but you don't want to hear about them?

As I've said before, if New Zealand, or Chile had have done these things over the past 50 years, I'd be seen as anti-them aswell.....

And it's quite ok for gw to say...

... and i don`t like to be perceived as anti-muslim,which i absolutely am not...just trying to counter-balance the discussion... ....which I have to believe, but if I give another perspective ...? Hmmm.

gw, I mentioned the India/Pakistan situation, because although they have come closer than anyone in history to all out nuclear war, we didn't see anyone rush in there to 'stabilise the area'...to disable any reactors.

The whole stabilising the area argument has gotten very old and tired.

Are we going to flip-flop, pick and choose our 'friends' to back in the Middle East forever?...You seem to think so. It's been working so well to date hasn't it?

...Oh, and when I said the Bin Laden was a perfect example, you changed the focus to Saddam....interesting little microcosm that really ;)

Could it actually be possible that someone who criticizes our actions is actually doing so out of interest and hope that everyone (including ourselves) is better off? That's how I interpret MC's posts. That's how I interpret the majority of posts in here that are critical of our current administration. Far from anti-US, quite the opposite actually.

possible I guess, but I interpret his posts just like I LOVE WR's, Anti-American. Folks like Nick Douglas, djv, kosar, stevied, you, and even myself at times might take exection to policy and actions sometimes, but I think they portray it wholly different and are still patriots. Thanks.

I don't bring up these 'mistakes' to rub your noses in it.....I don't wave my finger at America and shake my head and see everything you do as wrong.
That's just silly.

It frustrates the hell out of me that no-one seems to be learning from 50 years of mistakes.
50 years on, and we're still ploughing headlong into something we have no clue how to end.

I was as shocked and appalled as anyone else on 9/11...just so happens that I also think diving into Iraq as a knee-jerk, or even an excuse, is also quite wrong.

Patriots? Just because you love your country, doesn't mean you can't have a mind of your own and disagree with the people running the place.

It simply seems to me that some of you have absolutely zero perspective of things on a world scale....You get the US side of the story, and that's good enough for you....Is that the patriotism you speak of 6-5?

For the millionth (and final) time....I have never criticised the US for the sake of criticsing the US. I don't dislike your country any more than I dislike Peru, Canada or Bulgaria.
The fact of the matter is that a lot of things that I don't agree with have been (are being) propogated by the US. BOTTOM LINE. END OF STORY.

(PS...If I was in the same mold as I LOVE WR, wouldn't I constantly be comparing the US to Australia?...And I'm pretty sure I've never once mentioned your appetite for porn ;))

no, the patriotism I speak of is being proud of your country even if there are things you disagree with. Heck, djv is one of the most negative posters here, but I know he loves his country. Maybe I read too much between the lines on your posts. You are a good writer, and I think you mean for people to draw conclusions other that exactly what you write. I do appreciate different views. I get sick of so much anti-American sentiment, however. Thanks.

No, no.

I couldn't be any more proud of my country (even, as you say, we do things that I don't agree with), and I'd never suggest that any of you guys not be proud of yours.

Definately not taking any moral high ground here...Have NEVER shook my head and thought, "Shame on you America"!
(Shame on you, George Bush might well be a whole other story :D)

There's a thousand issues at play in this whole situation....but I don't think National pride is one of them.

Anti-American in that I disagree with your current policies/methods/even beliefs to some extent?...yeah, I guess....But anti-American in the sense that I would wish any damage or harm to any of the people or places or economy or way of life?...Absolutely, catagorically not.

Either you are reading WAY too much between the lines on Christo's posts - or I'm taking the surface to literally. It's obvious he doesn't care for the current administration, but to accuse him of being anti-US is absurd.

no,,mr c,you criticize the u.s. because internationally,it`s the chi-chi thing to do.....it`s easy....

six-five...ignore guys like mr.c....this is what they do...it makes them feel important...

i`ve been waiting for more anti-americanism....

let `em blame america, six five...in their hearts they know better......it`s become an international obsession...

we are actually being blamed for the tsunami,in some quarters....seriously....i doubt that mr c would cop to that one...,though....at least i think not.......

you might not know it,but, the actual relief effort going on right now is being done by the u.s... it's the USAF and a couple of diverted naval groups shuttling in food and medicine, with solid help from the aussies(uggghh), singapore, and a couple of others. The irish can't fly in relief supplies because they don't have any C-130s. All they can do is wait for the U.N. to swing by and pick up their check.....

so american personnel in american planes and american ships will deliver american food and american medicine and implement an american relief plan, but it's still a "UN-led effort."...lol ...like removing saddam from kuwait...he`d still be there if not for the u.s.......

every time I hear someone complaining about america’s oppressive role in the world, I’m reminded of a scene from monty python’s movie....i forget the name....

the tough-talking anti-imperialist leader of the group is psyching up his followers. “and what have the romans ever given us?” he asks....

“the aqueduct?” ...."sanitation"....around the room nod and murmur in agreement. ...."the roads"......"baths"...."education"...."public order"....

"obviously that stuff...but apart from that,what?"....lol

"what have the Americans ever given us?”

electric light, airplanes, computers, , victory in WW II, green cards and a better way of life.

whether they like it or not, they live in a world that has “made in America” written all over it.....

and it grates guys like mr.c....

internationally, america leads the world in the promotion of democratic ideals and human rights....... no other nation in history has devoted as much time, energy and resources as the u.s. to the betterment of the human condition around the globe. ....no doubt about it.......

the u.s. donated more than $15 billion in foreign aid last year... to developing countries...outstripping japan, the second highest donor, by nearly $7 billion.....

our critics call us the new british imperialists.....lol

we believe in open markets and free trade, as well as the gradual promotion of democracy to people who would otherwise not know it....

think about the economic miracles of post-war japan and germany made possible by the u.s.....

sure, we act in our own self interests.....iraq may end up being a mistake.....can no good come of it?....i hope not....it`s foolish to let politics get in the way of the success of something that it`s obviously in everyone`s best interests to have succeed.....

it`s not a utopian world...we understand that...in a utopian world, no single power would reign supreme as a global hegemon and every nation would uphold the principles of democracy and human rights.......

but we don`t live in utopia....and having the u.s. on top may just be the nxt best thing......

don`t let `em get to you,six five.. ;) :thumb:

they know the deal...

p.s..mr c.......i hope this doesn`t queer our burgeoning business venture.....

I'm sorry, gw, but that is the biggest load of tripe I have ever had the displeasure to lay my eyes on.

no,,mr c,you criticize the u.s. because internationally,it`s the chi-chi thing to do.....it`s easy....

You've so got me nailed, gw. Yep. I post anti-US rubbish here to feel cool...like a big shot.
I speak MY MIND, therefore I'm pandering so some kind of international sub-group, all secretly laughing and pointing at Big Brother.
Honestly mate, that is absolutely the most absurd sentence or two I've ever seen here. (or anywhere else for that matter!)

ffs!...Could you read through any of my previous 2650 posts and show me one line that says, "And no good has ever come from the USA!"
Christ, you blokes make it hard to have any rational conversation/argument/disagreement, without it ending, "You're a pipe-toting hippy, and the USA rules the world!"

the u.s. donated more than $15 billion in foreign aid last year... to developing countries...outstripping japan, the second highest donor, by nearly $7 billion.....

Great. Well done....but where do the people on this very board fit in that want to cut that figure because "we don't care about anyone else".
You can't have it both ways! You can't be lauding yourself as the saviour of the world one on hand, but complaining about it on the other??
And donated? Hey, Australia's in the same boat....well a smaller boat obviously!...but, donated? How much $$ do we get from interest payments from loans to developing countries each year? (I don't know, would be interesting to find out.)

And, yes. Impressive big numbers for sure...but you're a BIG, impressive country.

Yuo 'gave' 15 bil....your gdp is 49,000,000,000,000!!....over twice that of China (second) and 3 times that of Japan (3rd) and 20 times that of Australia (17th)

The irish can't fly in relief supplies because they don't have any C-130s. All they can do is wait for the U.N. to swing by and pick up their check.....

You may not have noticed that not every country in the world has a fleet of air-craft carriers/patrol boats/transport helicopters/aeroplanes at their disposal.

Anyway...I'm not sure why I even stared on this (took the bait pretty well, huh?)...because I for one, have never brought into question America's aid or help that they have given....and no, gw, it most certainly does not 'grate' me.

Hey, thanks for the suppost, smurfy. :toast: ....glad to see not everyone here thinks I'm trying to bring the system crashing down from the inside

it`s an m.f.`er of a world that we live in today....

You bet your ass it is. (Or so my underground sources tell me ;))

I'm not Hellah. I am a decent guy. Growing up I was a genetic racist like most. Whoever my parents didn't like, I wasn't suppose to. I am not politically or idealogically inclined. There is currently 52 replies to this thread but more importantly more than 300 lurkers. No one should and I repeat should turn one against the other but it's done. My personal views are from immediate family experience of men who served their countries back to the Boer War. I have no use for any government, so my opinions serve no purpose as they are biased. PS first registered here in 2000 I think
