if anyone grabbed kent state on saturday, hopefully it was with the points. no surprise is was another spread winner....that found a way to choke away the straight up win but at least cash within the spread.

playing this one overnight. will cap the rest (although its a short card) in the a.m.

george washington (-11.5)

im not a big atlantic-10 guy and im certainly not one for big chalk, but im laying it here for a few units.

dayton might be the phoniest 12-5 division leader in the country. theyve got twelve wins.....and only two of them are against teams with winning records . twelve of their seventeen games have been at home and their two conference road games to this point have been against duquesne and rhode island (who are a combined 9-27). flyers are a young team that can go through long scoring droughts over the course of a game. unless they miraculously find some offensive firepower, theyre gonna be going into GW with very little chance of keeping up with the colonials. theres a good reason that a 2nd place team thats 12-5 is laying 11.5 points to the team in first place. dayton's not gonna score enough to stay inside this number. really think GW lays it on 'em.

I vividly recall one of those victories over a winning opponent, and think that the Zips would whoop on 'em now.

Off to Oxford, Not playing the game but statistically the Zips hold an edge in nearly every category. I think that they will have to shoot it very well today to steal one in Millett. I'm really worried that they will get beat up on the glass as well. Good luck today

BTW: Bracket buster pairings announced tomorrow at 4:00 PM.

Break up the Vikes !

probably should have waited until the this afternoon to play this one as the line in DD would definitely appeal to some dayton people. nonetheless, im sticking to my guns and content with the 11.5 and also gonna lay the -6 in the 1st half.

george washington -11.5
george washington 1st half -6

really want to play notre dame as a home dog but that friggin team never seems to be able to win the big game at home even though theyre fully capable of it. tossing that one back and forth. uconn is nothing special but the just debating if i can trust the irish with my money.

yeah im seeing the 10.5s pretty much everywhere now. unfortunately, im locked in at 11.5 but i really have no problem with that. i dont think this will be the kind of game that will come down to FTs where the 1pt will matter. think GW runs away with this early. best of luck.

and spang - youre right. akron would absolutely beat dayton right now. if im not mistaken, akron was still in that game until a late dayton run put it away so akron didnt play that poorly then. zips would handle them now for sure.

gman2, great job again yeasterday, wasn't even looking at Kent until I read your thread...thanks.
Good luck today, no play for me as I just don't think GW has been playing good enough ball to lay the points nor am I a fan of Dayton.

ive given up on trying to figure out notre dame totals. the team has no identity. some games they run and gun. then theylll come back and play a game in the 50s or low 60s. thats probably why theyre so inconsistent. if i had to, i would say the over is the way to go just because i think notre dame needs to get this game into a transition game because if they run halfcourt stuff all day, theyre gonna be one-and-done if they miss because uconn rebounds so well. i think the over will hit but i couldnt trust playing it.

from 29-14 up to 4 down at half. pretty damn amazing.
totally ridiculous.

that said, if GW shuts down dayton's clean looks from 3, they'll gain back control of the game.

george washington 2nd half -8
