Not playing race card--just reporting on article--- I already stated my reservations on Rice as far as having woman negotiating with Arabs--I guess that could be gender card--I just call em as I see em.

"She helped orchestrate a war that has gone terribly wrong."

That would depend on which side of fence your on--as I am viewing elections looks like majority of Iraq'is would differ--prior to elections U.S. was about 50/50 --we'll see following them.

Now I would say the terrorist would agree 100% it hasn't went well. They lost bid to put Kerry in office--they lost theirobjective to get us to pull out---and they lost objective to delay or halt elections.Lots of suicide bombers died in vain--lots of top echelon captured or killed--and they are voting as I type.
You might put Kerry-Kennedy--Boxer-NYT--Algezeera ect in the not so happy group also ;)

At what cost of American life do you, and your neocon friends' call this a success. By that I mean how many dead Americans does it take for you to say this was not a success?

What price to you put on freedom or security??
Why don't you let the neocon fighting it worry about the cost and if its worth it--and let the liberals and their Microsoft Militia in front of their computers do the whining and save up the energy and courage to spit on the troops through the fence when they get home again.

I know I get flamed for posting E-Mails, but some are appropriate...

Thought that you guys would like this one from one of the Boeing Test Pilots
January 4, 2005

Today, during an afternoon conference that wrapped up my project of the last 18 months, one of my Euro collegues tossed this little **** out to no one in particular:

"See, this is why George Bush is so dumb, theres a disaster in the world and he sends an Aircraft Carrier..."

After which he and many of my Euro collegues laughed out loud.and then they looked at me. I wasn't laughing, and neither was my Hindi friend
sitting next to me, who has lost family in the disaster.

I'm afraid I was "unprofessional", I let it loose -
"Hmmm, let's see, what would be the ideal ship to send to a disaster, now what kind of ship would we want? Something with its own inexhuastible
power supply? Something that can produce 900,000 gallons of fresh water a day from sea water? Something with its own airfield? So that after producing the fresh water, it could help distribute it? Something with 4 hospitals and lots of open space for emergency supplies? Something with a global communications facility to make the coordination of disaster relief in the region easier? Well "Franz", us peasants in America call that kind of ship an "Aircraft Carrier". We have 12 of them. How many do you have? Oh that's right, NONE. Lucky for you and the rest of the world, we are the kind of people who share. Even with people we don't like. In fact, if memory serves, once upon a time we peasants spent a ton of money and lives rescuing people who we had once tried to kill and who tried to kill us. Do you know who those people were? that's right Franz, Europeans.

There is a French Aircraft carrier? where is it? Right where it belongs! In France of course! Oh why should the French Navy dirty their uniforms helping
people on the other side of the globe. How Simplesse... The day an American has to move a European out of the way to help in some part of the world it will be a great day in the world, you sniggering little f**knob..." The room fell silent.

My Hindi friend then said quietly to the Euros: "Can you let your hatred of George Bush end for just one minute? There are people dying! And what are your countries doing? Amazon.com has helped more than France has. You all have a role to play in the world, why can't you see that? Thank God
for the US Navy, they don't have to come and help, but they are. They helped you once and you should all thank God they did. They didn't have to, and no one but them would have done so. I'm ashamed of you all..."

He left the room, shaking and in tears. The frustration of being on the other side of the globe, unable to do anything to assist and faced with people who could not set aside their asininity long enough to reach out and help was too much for him to bear. I just shook my head and left. The Euros stood speechless. Later in the breakroom, one of the laughing Euros caught
me and extendedhis hand in an apology. I asked him where he was from, he said "a town outside of Berlin". He is a young man, in his early 20's. I
asked him if he knew of a man named Gail Halvorsen. He said no. I said "that's a shame" and walked away to find my Hindi friend.

For those of you who may not remember, Gail Halvorsen was the transport pilot responsible for the "candy drop" during the Berlin airlift. They called him the "Candy Bomber" as he dropped goodies for all the Berlin children.

If only the neocons were fighting this war then maybe I would be for it! And spiting on the troops has nothing to do with this war. In fact, why hasn't the Republican congress done anything about Veterans Benefits? If you support the troops so much? How much money does a killed soldiers family get? What is it something like $12,000. Real generous of you. Keep supporting those troops!

Stevie if you liberals would quit reading NYT and watching liberal news network---you might get a few FACTS instead of worse case scenerio part truths from the lefton every issue. That is benefit for those that refuse in writing to not accept GI term life insurance--so in future when you see them whining bout only getting $12,000 you know it was they that could care less about their family's and not the gov.

May I suggest you dig in on a few things yourself instead of getting opinions from the liberal networks. They do allow web surfing and Fox TV in Mass--don't they?????Kerry and Kennedy been hood winking their minions in Mass again.

P.S. When I was in service it was $20,000 as most vets here will attest to.

Ah yes funny DTB you say Boxer won as she did. And if Bush lost Ohio what would have happened. That gay right issue work well there. And are they still looking into a few voting machine issues in Ohio. All I'm saying is none of us voted for Rice. I guess if you were heiring her for a job you might just ask a few questions to see if she can handle it or just back you up. Anyone can be a yes person.

DJV and other "independents" must be unable to see through seething bitterness while pompous fools for senators berate dignified Americans for saying things which they themselves said

unbelievable

Dogs they do not refuse the insurance. They refuse to pay the 20 bucks a month it costs to get it. 20 bucks may not be much to you but to a guy on a service mans pay with a kid or two 20 bucks is a lot. 12 grand or 20 grand what difference does it make? It is still a shame to see someone who pretends to support the troops begrudge these same troops a decent death benefit. Why don't you get on that Republican Congress to do something about it?

Yep $20 a month is a killer--bottom line is which means more to individual--$20 spending money or $250,000 for his family--I'll let you and the liberals vote for the $20 in pocket (after all your gonna hit that lottery,right?)--us "Neocons" will opt for the family.

"And are they still looking into a few voting machine issues in Ohio."

Yep DJV I heard Kerry speak of long lines in democratic taking hours to vote when conservatives counties were much more efficient.

However it was proven that both areas had equivilant voting machines. If you want to fix the long lines put pictures on the ballots instead of names ;)

---and what say you about Washington voting where machines declare man winner twice but after hand counted in select districts over turn it--and they find one county had more votes than people registered?

Would not surprise me if Kerry-Kennedy and Boxer send team of lawyers over to Iraq to try and stir up shit in their election.

I agree the country needs to take a hard look at many places to see no matter who wins are we getting it right. Englishman you are correct Bush can pick who he wants. But they get approved by the congress. In a strange way remember they work for the American people not the president.

Bottom line is that Rice is a CIVIL SERVANT and every two weeks she takes her check to the bank and cashes it, the check that she cashed was funded by OUR taxes! We as taxpayers of her salary have the right to honest disclosure and not gibberish and around the way answers as she and many elected officials give when questioned. Attacking Boxer for putting questions to Rice that she would not answer is insane, obviously her constituents like the job Boxer is doing as she has been overwhelming reelected and at this point is becoming a power broker. I would expect no different from someone of the opposite party to be asking hard questions if the shoe was on the other foot, this is serious business and the American people have a right to honesty. Personally, I think Rice is not the type of person that I would want in the position that she has been confirmed for, I feel that there are many others that should have been chosen ahead of her. I think in this administrations eyes she is a person whom is loyal and will not interfere with their plans nor will she put them in a tough spot by challenging their views, which is highly regard-able for a human being but not for a position such as this. To even suggest that by questioning her before confirmation was taken as a slap by the black community is a farce as the black community leaders as a whole have a wide valley of disagreements with this administration on education, affirmative action and jobs that they are not going to overreact to this. For all we know these journalists were on Bush's payroll and were paid to report that the community was upset with the DEMS.

no the bottom line is rice was attacked in bitterness for things she said which kennedy and boxer and fellow dems also said at the time

and boxer is the outright liar for saying that her colleagues authorized voting for the war solely based on WMD's whcih should outrage you if you are not too ignorant to read the senate resolution

why dont you go check up on what that resolution said and get back to us MC...if not you are demonstrating the ignorance that boxer panders to back in her XXXX state of california

why anyone would listen to anyone from california is beyond me anyway....

from a political standpoint, Ms. Boxer and Mr. Kennedy -- keep talking

Dr.

Nothing to worry about - let's just let Boxer and Kennedy stay out front, this is the best vote-getter we could hope for. The American people have rejected these people on a national level time and time again, let's just let them keep doing it.

Now, if they elect Dean as DNC Chairman, we should be in heaven!!!

YEEEEEAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

Dean is a lock

nothing is more annoying than his personality types

the little short guy who when he enters the room, immediately thinks he is the smartest guy there

around many of similar nature myself

outside of the area around Vermont and Ms. Boxer's left coast, most American folk don't really appreciate that kind of attitude
