Finally, THE game

And the Eagles are there :)

There are very strong stats for picking either side

This is more which team is coming into the game with the hotter team....

Hard not to favor the Pats with their SB experience and their domination of the Colts and Steelers, when alot of people were thinking they couldn't beat either team....on the other side, you had the Eagles which were high favorites in both games and looked good in taking care of business to finally get where they couldn't the past 3 years....

But when you come into this game, I think these teams are very similar and the only edge I can see is the HC and the SB experience...the trash talking is unwarranted and TO's health will be a major concern...

I believe the KEY to winning the game on sunday will be the RB's on both sides....IF Dillon exposes the weak run D of the Eagles, Pats will win easily...If Westbrook can be a major force running and catching the ball, the Eagles have a strong chance of upsetting the big favorite...

I think you all know where my $$ and my heart will be on Sunday....still think its a strong play :mj07:

Playing:

Eagles +7.5 (-115) X3
Eagles ML +245
Under 48 (-110)
might add a few props later on :mj14:

glta and GO EAGLES!

You hit all the right points, as usual.

Personally think (and yes, I'm an Eagle fan) that the Pats are a little inflated here as a 7 point pick.

Stick with me on this......

Vegas always tries to get even money on both sides, so maybe they put the line not necessarily where it should be, but where public perception is to get even money on both. Pats coming off two dominating performances, Brady undefeated in Jan/Feb, and talk all year long about how good the AFC is compared to the NFC puts perception heavily on a Pats romp. -6.5/-7 gets good money on both sides, whereas if you break it down a little further with the numbers, you might come up with something in the -4/-4.5 range. Perception being that the Pats will roll means that a lot of Eagle money goes on the Pats at -4.5, and if the Pats do roll, Vegas gets killed.
IMO, there's value in the Eagles with the points.

Why I think the Eagles can win outright? I'm crazy. No, seriously, the Eagles have a great pass-rush. So did Pitt, but i personally don't think Pitt had the secondary the Eagles have to stick in man to man. IF, and it's definitely an "IF", the Birds can get to Brady early and catch a couple of breaks, we could be in for a great game. All the respect in the world for the Pats defense cuz they're an awesome unit, but I think the Eagles will come prepared to play them, and will have some success. Reid almost always has the offense hitting on all cylinders after a bye week.

Good luck to all!

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!

here is a few things that i wrote in my thread .....

teams that score 40 points or more in their championship game (pats) victory are 1-4 su & 1-4 ats in the super bowl while avceraging only 20 points.......

and teams that allowed more than 21 points (pats) are 1-4 ats when favored in the super bowl (3-6 ats overall)......

good luck.
