Congrats to WV for landing this stud running back and congrats to Wilson for predicting it. Good sources! :)

Will be interesting to see how he plays next year.

Would Gwaltney be going to West Virginia if his half brother wasn't?

Would Gwaltney's half brother be getting a scholarship to West Virginia if Gwaltney was going to Ohio St. or USC?

Looks like Fletcher was right. I am sure you already congratulated him on having the scoop.

I also saw Udofia is going to Stanford.

Wilson predicted West Virginia, Fletcher predicted OSU, and I predicted USC. Funny thing is I think maybe Gwaltney had all 3 #1 at certain times this year.

I think he is making big mistake. I would have chosen Ohio St. over WV. If he is a great RB he would start at OSU next year and compete to win a NC. Can't get any better than that. Playing and competing for NC at a traditional program like OSU. Maybe all the bad press about OSU scared him off. What exactly does he gain playing for WV? Playing with his bro? Distance is a legit factor. But I think he gets same playing time at OSU vs WV. So what gives?

Udofia is somewhat damaged goods (injured) but a stud DL. Good pickup for Stanford. I think USC dropped him because they are signing Moore from the south and taking him away from Miami. Who knows. USC just signed the nations #1 JC DL prospect Gabe Long. So that is another reason USC stopped recruiting Udofia.

As for the OU Sooners, I will not be suprised if USC stole Reggie Smith from OU! That would be something.

Recruiting is pretty exciting if you follow it.

Reggie Smith's coach announced today that it is down to OU and NU. I think he will go to Nebraska but we will see.

As far as Gwaltney goes, maybe he just liked WVU better and felt more comfortable there. The NFL is full of guys who had successful college careers and had a great time despite not playing for the MNC every year.

I am not sure about the first part. The 2nd part I am sure he would have been recruited to WVU...he is a big mobile kid. We seem to like projects like him.

Thanks Wilson. I def. will be tuning into WV games and seeing what USC missed out on. 5+ years ago I was always pissed when great CA talent would leave the state to go to FSU or Miami. Glad that has stopped. JG def. will be a superstar at WV and that is where he will get the greatest fan support. Good luck next season!

Perrilloux talks.....

"LSU is the perfect school for me," Perrilloux said. "It's close to home and with their quarterback situation, I can come in and play next year. JaMarcus Russell struggled last year and Matt Flynn is definitely not a better quarterback than me. It's just a perfect opportunity."

:mj07:

Wouldn't want this guy on my team. Some teamate he is gonna be. Is he rooming with the other LSU QB's?

Wilson,

A local kid Ryan Brinson has declared he is going to WVU, he had played RB at Canton McKinley High School and just completely destroyed all the rushing records held by Mike Doss of the Colts. He choose WVU over Iowa but I am thinking that the Neer's may move him to CB or SS but you guys are getting a hell of a player if he can get his grades up.

MC,

Yep..he was a solid pick up...he could get some early playing time as a corner. I am not sure he is qualified. (academics)
