Updated 2005 record:
NFL Playoffs: 5-2 +$2,400
NCAA Basketball: 17-11 +$1,880
NBA: 3-4 -$280
January Record: 25-17 60% +$4,000
February Record: 0-0
Overall record: 25-17 60% +$4,000
Hi everyone! Had a strong start of the year, hitting 60% of my plays, picking up a whopping 40 units, for a total of +$4,000 (my 1 unit has always equaled $100) hope I could help some of you out with some winners. I've spent some time today looking over all 42 of the plays i made durning January, looked at what went good - hit several 2H dogs where dog was leading & fave was a huge favorite in the 2H - halftimes were extremely profitable and i will continue to scour the halftimes looking for the edge - also been solid in NFL and i locked into AFC to win SB when line was AFC -4.5 - will watch the line - have a few options - could potentially go for a nice middle opportunity - but i like NE to win it by double digits. And i looked at what went wrong...biggest misses were on Syracuse when they played rugters - hit the 1H and game strong...and also last night went for a big payday on Missouri 2H, after hitting the 1H...
All in all i was very pleased w/ the performance and how i capped the selections i played...i think it's good to go over and reflect on what you've played to see if any trends in your handicapping are going good or bad...i played one moneyline parlay w/ a 2 heavy favorites, one who lost outright - that was not one of my better plays, but we'll all have 2 or 3 every month that just aren't one of our better ones...big thing is everytime i put out a play on this board and anytime i make a play - it's because i feel i have a legitimate edge on the line, and expect it to hit around 57% in the long run...that's what i've been hitting for the past 5 years, so the 60% in January was a bit above the norm...but off to a solid start...so let's get ready to start a new month w/ a solid 1H winner:
Strong 1H play:
Maryland -2
Risking $550 to win $500
I have Maryland winning by roughly 8-10 points tonight...and I feel they get off to a quick start - and am going w/ a play on them in the 1H...Clemson is struggling, Maryland playing some great ball and i'll take the better team, laying just a basket...don't worry about the game being at Clemson - they have yet to win a conference game at home - Maryland will be too much for them - Maryland avg. rougly 12 more points scoring per game...i'm betting they take the lead into halftime...good luck to you all!
