Everyone is on Illinois yet the line is slowly dropping and the money will continue to pile in on the Illini. In my opinion MSU will be more motivated than Illinois- national spotlight, against an undefeated in conference rival and with the home crowd behind them. Everyone saw Illinois go into Wisconsin last week and end their home win streak...With that fresh in their minds, the squares be all over illinois, the number 1 and undefeated, especially at the cheap price of -1

You may be right. I played Illinois based on the handicappinng of the matchup and talent, but I definately dont like whats going on with the line. Something is starting to look fishy.

He is right, MSU should win. I think it was Gman who said that it would almost be a relief for the Illini to lose this game because the rest of thier schedule looks like a cakewalk and that would be a ton of extra pressure for an undefeated team heading into the tournament. I'm with you here.

you guys are right. 20 year college kids have no motivation to go undefeated and win the tourny without a loss. illini more motivated. maybe more pressure on them, but not less motivation.

wake
cincy
gonzaga
iowa
wisconsin
etc.....

they've handled all comers so far. why bet that it stops?

If Illinois doesn't lose in the regular season they will not be the national champions and you can bank that mack. I mean they are good but not THAT good. Come on.

ILLINI just went up against the #10 team in the nation, and took them to school. What is it going to take for some of you that don't believe in them.

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me"

Not that good?

it's so very easy to take shots after a game is over. if state had won would you be in here saying 'damn guys i had illinois, i was on the wrong side, congrats' of course you wouldn't. illinois shot the lights out tonight, big deal. i'm not like some of the people in here who risk big money every night, i'm a small time gambler and i do it for entertainment...so it really deosn't matter to me. but i will say this: illinois will not win the national championship. if you want to bet a new era cap on that talk to jack and get my email. :)when i said they were not THAT good it was meant to mean that they're not invincible. they shot unbelievably well tonight, stellar, stupendous, outstandingly good. BUT....all it is going to take is one team, ONE little bump in the road of sixty-four, to take them down. i guess it's a rule in handicapping to stay with the hot team. nite.

Going undefeated probably will not happen, but I will definitely wager a new era hat for the national championship.

I wasn't try to talk down to you,... I just know if this was Duke or North Carolina going undefeated to this moment, the media would have them as one of the top teams in history. Just want some respect for the Illini. No harm no foul!

Take care and good luck with the bet.

If people want to bash me for my pick, that's fine...If you want to consistently bet on road favorites in college basketball conference play then be my guest-- you will lose money in the long run- i dont care if its the number one team in the country or the worst team in the land- road favorites are an easy way to lose money

Did anyone talk about Illinois being the best road fav they could find??

hmmmm I need a road fav...

Ill looks good!

... I think it had more to do with matchups and the fact State had a dismal record vs #1 teams
(1-14 and counting)

...I will grant you that road faves as a rule are bad for your health, but so are big breasted Italian girls.... and sometimes I can't keep my hands off either one...

1-14...who cares how teams in the past have done against #1 teams?
those are the most overrated kind of stats..give me something more concrete about this team not MSU from 5 years ago with Randolph and Richardson
Its totally irrelevent
