Just a little levity here. When I was a kid starting out. There was an old time Jock who rode the NJ/NY circuits named Joe Culmone. He was as crooked as they come. When you were at the track the adage was "GO HOME WITH CULMONE' in the last or 9TH race. I mean you just did it and sometimes cashed huge tickets.
Today the adage goes Solis/Frankel/Turf no matter what.
PS: I'm in the outdoor paddock at Atlantic City long before Trump and there's a huge Mafia looking guy(trainer) holding this horse's head by the reins, conversation - I swear!!
Culmone "The favorite looks awfully tough to catch"
Mafia guy " Joe, this horse comes in 2nd, you better not be on him.
Culmone's horse comes into the stretch with a 10 length lead and got whipped all the way to the wire $98, you betcha
