UNC (-2) over Duke
Looking at this game the only factors I can see to play duke is the home crowd and the fact they get EVERY call. Watching the GT game I thought I was watching pick-up ball where you are supposed to call your own fouls and Duke wasn't playing that game.
UNC can take advantage with there athletic big men. I think Shandon Williams is the better true center but he has less talent around him. IMO Randolph & 6'2 Dockery cannot contain Jawad or Marvin Williams. Randolph will rely on collapsing help defense and flopping to draw charging calls. Dockery will have problems on the low block, boxing out. Felton and Ewing are IMO a push, both players are fast ball handlers that play solid defense. McCants and Reddick, the edge shooting goes to Reddick but the edge driving to the hoop goes to McCants. . Melchionni (best asset is the ability to shoot the 3) & Nelson (freshman) will see time but will have a tough time playing with 6'5 Manuel and 6'6 Noel.
The mind blowing stat in my mind is average time played per game, Reddick, Ewing and Williams average 33 mins per game. The pace that UNC plays is VERY fast. IMO the depth of the tar heels will be the blue devils undoing.
