Fellas,
I don't know if many know me here, but I unfortunately don't have time to post a lot of my thoughts on life and sports, but I wanted to let you know about the last few days of my close beats and the ups/downs we all go through, and just how mentally taxing handicapping is, you just have to finally master the fact that you deal with the sht as it happens, which I'm finally starting to, after 6 years of capping (yea Im not that old).......They DO even out, although we all like focusing and remembering the losers unfortunately, this also is a vent on my end...

Weds:
Knicks +7 over Miami.........knicks down 15 after 3 qtrs, play well enough to force ot........down by 8-9 in ot with less than a minute left, start hitting 3's, etc, run out clock, lose by 6 and cover lucky win

Thurs.....
Here, it gets good......

Fairfield -3 @ Marist.......Keep updating throughout, close game, Fairfield by 4 with a minute and change left, see them win by 1 late, with obviously no yahoo explanation.

Denver +5 @ WKU.........Denver hanging in throughout, nip and tuck, down 7 with a few minutes left, few foul shots here and there, down 3 with 35 secs, lose by 5, push.....

Loyola Chi +6.5 vs Wis Milw.........
Funny, winning throughout, then you see down 5 with a few minutes left, then down 3 with 1 to go, and you see the final and lose by 7, curse out the computer monitor accordingly....

Hawaii +2 @ La Tech.....down 10 at half, do you buy it back? let it stay, nip and tuck whole 2nd half, see the final on the yahoo, lose by 1 and cover, yipeee....haha, yea right...

USC +7 vs Zona.......see them losing most of 1st half big, debate a 2nd half buyback, see the final as a 9 pt loss, wonder what the fk happened and how you CANNOT back sh*t dogs........

Friday NBA..........

LAC +3.5 @ Wash......Down most of game, neck and neck, coach gets a T down 2 with 3 secs left, hits it, wash up 3 3 secs left, see the final as a 3 pt win, finally a break.........

Houston/Indy U 184.5............Haha, here's the funny one.........99 pts scored at the half, and 153 after 3 , houston dies and decides to not score in the 4th qtr to cash my bet, and still win.....

Btm line, Just laugh off the bad beats, as bad as they are, have a beer and just suck it up, this a long haul and we all, me included, need to realize that and just keep on pluggin without screwin up our bankrolls.......sorry for the shtty long post, just thought maybe some would enjoy and relate to themselves........Be good boys, try not to get too drunk tonight

Great post!

All of us have to take the good with the bad and that's why we call it gambling. It's great when you're winning and pisses you off when you're losing!!

BTW, I'm getting drunk tonight :mj14: :mj14:

Couldnt agree more...if you are good at handicapping, the better days far outweight the bad ones.

You are correct. Had the Clips tonight as well. We definitely got the bounce.

On the other hand I had Port +6'. They led big for most of the game. Lost by 6 but it was very close to a no cover. That would have been, what I consider, a bad beat :scared
