This line looks way to high and can't understand why. Right now I'm thinking of taking Illinois. but just not sure about laying the 8. Why is this line so high and is Illinois chi the right play? My power number show that they are fairly equal on a nutral court.

seriously, if you look at Ill-Chi stastically at home vs Wiscy-GB on the road the line is right where it should be, but a inconference 16-7 team GETTING 8 pts from a 12-10 team seems fishy, I have a write up in my post if you want to see some numbers...
have seen both teams in person within the last 10 days and i was far more impressed with illinois-chicago. uic is MUCH more athletic than green bay. just not sold on green bay at all. uwgb took advantage of a csu breakdowns late in the shotclock to score some key baskets but they very rarely scored on aggressive moves to the rim. chicago did a really good job of making csu work for everything they got on saturday and i think their man-to-man will give gb problems. i dont think green bay is gonna be able to score enough to cover here. think the under is worth a look too. but thats me.
also, aside from the green bay 4-point win from earlier this season, this has been a series recently dominated by uic. flames had won the last handful by 7+ points each.
this game is huge for both teams, as the 2nd place finisher gets a bye into the semifinal round of the tourney. the 3rd place finishes has to play a quarterfinal game. id be really surprised if uic didnt control this game the whole way. number is a little steep but flames, no matter what the records say, are DEFINITELY the better team.

took UIC tonight based solely on a line play......no way they should be giving UWBG 8 points.....and I was right, no way they should!!! :mj07: I had the privilege of watching my bet go down in flames from the start.....whoever says UIC is better than UWGB is trying to convince themselves.....UWGB has been better all year and they proved it on the court again tonight against a UIC team that is still living off of last years success in the publics eye.....congrats vegas, if you were looking for UIC money from some line players, you got me tonight!! :clap:
