The NHLPA is going to accept a cap around $42-$44 million. There will be a press conf. around 1pm tomorrow. This is not a rumor.

25 games is better than 0.

This is a joke. My kids are starting their playoffs on the weekend and the ice is starting to melt. Christ, players are reporting to Spring Training already. Let the season die. Will be a huge laughing stock to crown a champion this year IMO.

The players are payed a Kings Ransom to play a kids game

The owners dont play the game but they are the people that drove the contract prices thru the roof.

Thanks for screwing over a great game all you A-Holes

not that I'm into false hopes......

but didn't the last time they had a labor-dispute work stoppage in NHL, it got resolved a few hours AFTER they announced the season was over?

anyone recall? I'm on idiot dialup now and too burdensome to research.

hey tray- long time no talk-

If they do not reach an agreement before 4 PM EST today it will be officially over- If the players counter at 45 or accept the 42.5 there could still possibly be a season- I think that if they do not play this year hockey will never come back in a good portion of the US. Sad day.

Looking real good, guys. Can't confirm the 45mil cap, but supposedly an agreement has been reached. Just hammering out the details right now. Also gotten calls on some real juicy shit, but needs to be off the record for now.

Chenks, have fun at the wedding. Better pry yourself away to watch the PC, bud. :)

:wtf: Apparently, a few owners changed their mind today and blocked a possible deal. NHLPA needed 23 out of 30 owners to sign off on a supposed "ladder" cap around 45mil......only got 20 out of 30.

Mario and Gretz made similar statements basically pronouncing this season dead.
