big -- loyola chicago under
as long as this total isnt less than 130 (which is unlikely) then this one is going to be a large play for me. im gonna grab whatever number cris opens with at around 2pm or whenever the total comes out. have already peeked ahead a little bit and am seeing a potential horizon total of year next weekend. but for now, this will have to suffice as just a large play.
collins was embarrassed by the effort his guys put forth against green bay, especially on the defensive end. flames allowed uwgb to hit ten 3s and dominante what was a huge game for both teams the other night (tourney bye at stake).
"Our guys threw in the towel. They just quit," Collins said. "Ced and Karl White played with passion. But I was disappointed with the play of Rocky Collum, Jovan Stefanov and Justin Bowen.....We lost our courage."
im really expecting uic to lock down loyola tonight. its a crosstown rivalry, but illinois-chicago has absolutely owned loyola lately, winning the last 7 in a row overall, and 13 in a row vs loyola at the pavilion. the first meeting this year was 64-58 (although loyola had a great chance to get a win. they were up 9 at home at the break)
until that debacle again green bay the other night, uic had been playing outstanding defense at home, allowing just 53.6 a game in their L6 at the pavilion.
loyola has actually been playing solid ball the last week and a half, going 2-1 with wins against wright state and green bay, and a close home loss to milwaukee in a game loyola led most of the way. in those three games, loyola's defense is what got it done. they held wright state to 41% from the field. they held milwaukee to 41%. and they held green bay to 35%.
loyola comes into this one confident and probably feels like they can finally break the streak if they play good defense.
uic is coming in with players called out by collins for lack of effort and should really get after it tonight.
rivalry game. loyola is playng some defense. and uic has some guys that will likely be looking to make statements on the defensive end.
going in big on the under and expecting a game in the low 120s.
