big -- loyola chicago under

as long as this total isnt less than 130 (which is unlikely) then this one is going to be a large play for me. im gonna grab whatever number cris opens with at around 2pm or whenever the total comes out. have already peeked ahead a little bit and am seeing a potential horizon total of year next weekend. but for now, this will have to suffice as just a large play.

collins was embarrassed by the effort his guys put forth against green bay, especially on the defensive end. flames allowed uwgb to hit ten 3s and dominante what was a huge game for both teams the other night (tourney bye at stake).

"Our guys threw in the towel. They just quit," Collins said. "Ced and Karl White played with passion. But I was disappointed with the play of Rocky Collum, Jovan Stefanov and Justin Bowen.....We lost our courage."

im really expecting uic to lock down loyola tonight. its a crosstown rivalry, but illinois-chicago has absolutely owned loyola lately, winning the last 7 in a row overall, and 13 in a row vs loyola at the pavilion. the first meeting this year was 64-58 (although loyola had a great chance to get a win. they were up 9 at home at the break)

until that debacle again green bay the other night, uic had been playing outstanding defense at home, allowing just 53.6 a game in their L6 at the pavilion.

loyola has actually been playing solid ball the last week and a half, going 2-1 with wins against wright state and green bay, and a close home loss to milwaukee in a game loyola led most of the way. in those three games, loyola's defense is what got it done. they held wright state to 41% from the field. they held milwaukee to 41%. and they held green bay to 35%.

loyola comes into this one confident and probably feels like they can finally break the streak if they play good defense.

uic is coming in with players called out by collins for lack of effort and should really get after it tonight.

rivalry game. loyola is playng some defense. and uic has some guys that will likely be looking to make statements on the defensive end.

going in big on the under and expecting a game in the low 120s.

Riding this one with you!

Need to wipe the taste out of my mouth after that Detroit heartbreaker last night. You've had a very good year this year so far but I think you still qualify for "bad beat capper of the year" in college hoops. It seems like a good portion of your losses happen due to some of the flukiest crap I've ever seen.

Like the play, but the line is now at 133.5 and Illinois chi last 6or7 games have gone over and Loyola chi last 5 games have gone over. I like your reasoning for the under and think its solid but is it still a strong play at 133.5 and does the way these two teams have been scoring latley(compared to the totals posted on thier games) have you worried at all?

I think we are teamed up with another correlated play tonight with Loyola +9 (which I got early this morning). Yesterday, you had Butler and I had the under. Tonight we are reversed. Let's hope they are both winners like last night.

G-man, sorry about our loss tonight . It must be me. I love your write ups, i think you do your homework and put your time in . So it must be me jinxing you man. I'm 1-6 coat-tailing your plays the last 12 days. When i research the games you are on , i can see why your leaning that direction. When i don't like your plays you seem to win. I quess thats why they call it gambling. Wish i could of met you in vegas for super bowl party. Maybe next year and good luck in your continued plays, i'll do everyone a favor and stay away, i think it's me man, sorry. :sadwave:

embarrassing loss, but gotta be a man and bump this thread. i know there were some followers on this one, and thats what stings. have made a great deal of money in the horizon this season, but absolutely no excuse for me to lay that fu.cking egg tonight.

the only consolation is that since a lot of my play was based on a solid program (uic) atoning for a terrible no-effort loss on monday, it was fitting for them to lose the game outright because of a total lack of defense. collins challenged his guys.....and they didnt respond whatsoever.

here's hoping i can respond to my own challenge for saturday. this kind of loss wont happen again. to those coattailers, i owe ya one.

g

(p.s. madjack, i give you carte blanche to impose a one-day ban on me for your loss by tailing this play. i deserve to serve as the forum pinata for one day and allow those to take out aggression on me in a healthy way. sorry man)
